    It's a funny thing...

You should read it some time. I don’t speak or read Arabic but it is true that allah is the word for God in Arabic. I’ll leave that thought for Muslims to respond to. The only other possibility that I’ve thought of in regard to your unique encounter is the Unitarian Universalist Church. Are...

Why am I not a Christian?

I’m a primitive Christian and an ordained elder in the Church of God. You’re a self-proclaimed prophet of someone. I’ve tested your spirit and, in doing so, determined that you have not been sent by the God of Israel.

    QUOTE for the day

“Satan will make you think that there is no God, no Saviour, no Holy Spirit. There is not a doctrine of the gospel which he will not tempt you to doubt, there is not a holy thing which he will not urge you to blaspheme.“ - C.H. Spurgeon

Have you read an English translation of the Quran since having that encounter with them? Christianity (broken away from Judaism) affirms the Trinity. The other thing I would have done, if I had had the encounter you experienced, would be to confront them with the Nicene Creed. If I had been...

    It's a funny thing...

The Quran prohibits identification of Allah with the Trinity. I don’t know why the Muslims you spoke with told you that the God of Islam and the God of Christianity is the same God when that obviously isn’t the case. If I had been speaking with them, I would have confronted them with the Quran...

Let’s talk about it then before going on. Did the Muslims you spoke with tell you that they were trinitarians?

Trinitarian (Anglican) support for what I’ve described in post #98 @Riven. ”In later times the church no longer perceiving the power and decisiveness of the agent-son-representative model, and having among its members men used to a more philosophical analysis, felt it necessary to go further in...

“The religion of Jesus is Judaism” is our key, our tool, that we can use to evaluate the assertion @Riven. Let’s start with the first line: “Muslims and Christians do not worship the same God.” Muslim. Islam has sects but all sects of Islam acknowledge Allah as the God of Islam. Allah isn’t...

    It's a funny thing...

Christianity began as a sect of Judaism. As the number of gentile members increased - which is what happened as the church took the Messiah’s gospel to the nations of the world -> the great commission implemented - the Jewish theology was gradually replaced. That is how Christianity separated...

“So, what was Jesus’ religion? The simple answer is Judaism. Jesus was a rabbi, a teacher of Judaism.” https://jewsforjesus.org/learn/what-religion-was-jesus Bold is theirs. Does that piece of information help us evaluate the assertion made by the Christianity ministry in post #89?

Why don’t you? They begin with a specific reference point, which isn’t defined in the statement. What they said is tricky to navigate. It‘s partially true. The actions of them all run the gamut. If that‘s the only criteria we use then they should all be dismissed.
