The Bible is Father-Centric not Christo-Centric

You asked me about it. The topic of the thread is stated in the OP. I don’t believe Jesus is God in the same way that you believe Jesus is God. See above. I’m registered “Other Faith”. I’m a Jewish monotheist, not a trinitarian.

The Bible is Father-Centric not Christo-Centric

I wouldn’t go that far, and I don’t anathematize anyone.

The Bible is Father-Centric not Christo-Centric

Not at all. The topic we were discussing was specifically anathematizing. Are you afraid of the trinitarians? The binitarians? The unitarians? Me, a Jewish monotheist? Off topic? No. You’d prefer not to say? That’s fine.

    What are we doing here?

From the perspective of Jewish monotheism, yes. But readers must understand that means I believe Jesus is functionally God, not literally God. He is the Son of God.

    What are we doing here?

I believe Jesus is divine because he is the incarnation of the Father’s logos. Friend of scripture or enemy of scripture?

    What are we doing here?

”Divinity refers to the quality or state of being divine or godlke.” https://www.donweaver.org/the-nature-of-divinity-grace-mercy-and-compassion-across-major-religions/ Jesus of Nazareth, the Messiah, Son of God, is divine. In your estimation, does my affirmation of the divinity of the...

The Bible is Father-Centric not Christo-Centric

Everyone should but not everyone does. That is why for decades I’ve called for them to be taught in all churches and privately in homes. Whether maliciously or out of ignorance, scripture cannot be broken. Do you then anathematize the trinitarians? The binitarians? The unitarians? The Jewish...

The Bible is Father-Centric not Christo-Centric

See the creeds of the trinitarians. Scripture cannot be refuted. The one God himself identifies Jesus as elohim / theos. That presents no problem to Jewish monotheism. I wouldn’t go that far.

    So back to charity again

I work as a volunteer. It has rewarding moments but it also causes me to experience mental anguish, and sometimes gives me nightmares. We don’t speak much these days @2bme but I appreciate the help you‘ve given me in easing some of the stress that comes from doing that work.

    Real Christians

If you change your registration from “Other Faith” to “Christian” you will automatically have the privilege of posting in all forums. That would give you more opportunities to speak with others who believe as you do.

What books are you currently reading?

“You don’t have to read serious books, but you should be serious about your reading habit.” - Alex Wieckowski * The Bible, however, is a serious book. We should be serious about our habit of reading it and we should be reading it regularly. *
