Critical thinking and education is linked to loss of faith

@Johann needs to hear this. So does every trinitarian member of Christianity Board.

Critical thinking and education is linked to loss of faith

God is the Father. Only one person. The Father is the God of his Son. “Jesus wasn’t and isn’t Yahweh.” - the trinitarian scholar you refuse to listen to.

Critical thinking and education is linked to loss of faith

Elohim abba in scripture is Yahweh, the God and Father of the Messiah. There is only one Yahweh in scripture. He (singular), not they (plural), is the God (singular) of Israel; the Messiah’s God, only one person. The trinitarian scholar I quoted against you (in post #455) is right.

Critical thinking and education is linked to loss of faith

There is no God besides YHWH. YHWH is the God of Israel, the God and Father of Jesus of Nazareth. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16, NASB)

Critical thinking and education is linked to loss of faith

Yahweh, Jesus of Nazareth and the Holy Spirit is a triad. There is only one Yahweh in scripture.

Critical thinking and education is linked to loss of faith

“A declaration of Yahweh to my lord …” (Psalm 110:1, LEB) ”A declaration of Yahweh to my Yahweh …” -> an intentional mistranslation of Psalm 110:1. Yahweh isn’t speaking to another Yahweh. Yahweh is speaking in the prophetic oracle to the here unnamed Messiah. (The Messiah is explicitly...

Critical thinking and education is linked to loss of faith

The trinitarian scholar acknowledges that Jesus wasn’t and isn’t Yahweh. One day you will too @David in NJ. One day everyone will.

Critical thinking and education is linked to loss of faith

Yahweh doesn’t have a Father. Yahweh is the God and Father of Jesus of Nazareth.

Critical thinking and education is linked to loss of faith

There is only one YHWH. Jesus is the miraculously begotten Son of YHWH. Elohim plural = gods. When elohim is plural the subject is a group of pagan deities, a group of angels, or a group of human beings. Notice: Elohim is plural = gods, not the Messiah’s God. You’re neither a Jewish...

Critical thinking and education is linked to loss of faith

The word (logos = dabar) that was in the beginning with YHWH, the Messiah’s God and Father. Isaiah is a Jewish monotheist. His theology isn’t yours, nor is it the theology of the trinitarians whom you mock.

The happy thread was dead. Long live the happy thread!

    * These bears have a game plan for dealing with the “You know what they say” strategy. *

Critical thinking and education is linked to loss of faith

Shema Yisrael YHWH Eloheinu YHWH Echad. The insertion of “our” in your mixed English / Hebrew translation is superfluous. This is the creed of Judaism and the Messiah’s creed. YHWH is the God and Father - a single self / person - of the Messiah and his disciples. “In the beginning God ( Heb...

What books are you currently reading?

    * She’s right. If we’re physically unable to read a book, we may be able to listen to it being read by someone else. Be determined. Read through the mouth of others. *

I hate myself, and hate being an atheist.

Feeling that way, why do you continue to exist? It’s not because you have to. “Probably” leaves some room for doubt. Since you mentioned God, we must at least consider it from his perspective. That’s not God’s perspective. God’s perspective: He brought this world into existence and it is...
