    * That’s fine, but why wait for Christmas? Give it 24/7/365. (But the frugalmiser - a word I made up to entertain myself (and others), sounds a little like German - in me doesn’t want to shell out a lot of cash.) *

    * That’s a good question. Here’s another (maybe): Don’t they make Candy Canes and tree (and antler?) ornaments at the North Pole? What is in the bag? Toys? Why is Santa and a reindeer having to checkout those items at a store? Did something happen up there that we haven’t been told about? How...

How did Paganism get into the church?

Christmas Unwrapped. I usually watch it around this time of year, every year. Whether people choose to celebrate it or not, Christmas has a very interesting history.

How did Paganism get into the church?

The Puritans waged spiritual war on Christmas (just as the Catholic Church is the home of the doctrine of the Trinity, it is also the home of Christmas) in the first few centuries of the founding of the USA; but they didn’t wage spiritual war on historical orthodox trinitarianism.

How did Paganism get into the church?

The Catholics do a masterful job of explaining how they developed and formulated what is written in the Bible - Fortman calls it “elemental trinitarianism” - into historical orthodox trinitarianism. Proving the old adage: “You can make the Bible say anything you want it to say.” Sure, but at...

How did Paganism get into the church?

So many in the church disappeared because 1. they were killed by the Romans or 2. they were wicked. Those church members who were killed and disappeared causes me to think the place they disappeared to is the grave. Is that what you are suggesting? Or do you have something else in mind? Those...

Were Jesus's brothers born of another woman?

From my X / Twitter “For you” feed this morning: “Tonight the Church will pray the first part of a 1500-year-old poem And as you read it, you will find a hidden message They’re known as the O Antiphons …” https://x.com/catholicpat/status/1868996452338250028?s=61 Let’s look at the hidden...

How did Paganism get into the church?

It was the Catholic Church which formulated the doctrine of the Trinity. The Catholic Church is the home of historical orthodox trinitarianism. Protestants took it with them, finding no fault with it, when the Reformation began.

How did Paganism get into the church?

Where did they go? Did they go where Enoch went when Enoch diisappeared? “Many in the church disappeared” and those that didn’t? Where were they when the temple was destroyed in 70 AD?

Were Jesus's brothers born of another woman?

“It refers to someone who is in a position of authority or reverence, and in this context, it is distinct from YHWH, signifying another figure.” Someone who is distinct from YHWH, someone who is another figure, is someone who isn’t YHWH; someone who isn’t the God of Israel. That person who is...

Were Jesus's brothers born of another woman?

“The Messiah is a human person.” - me A Catholic response to the assertion made by the Jewish monotheist: “He is a Divine Person, not a human person … Mary gave birth to the Divine Person, Jesus. Therefore, since she is the mother of a Divine Person, and not just of His human nature, she is...

Were Jesus's brothers born of another woman?

“We are not to suppose that the apostles identified Christ with Jehovah; there were passages which made this impossible, for instance, Ps. 110:1; Mal. 3:1; …” (Charles Bigg, International Critical Commentary, 1 Peter, p. 99) Impossible to identify Jesus Christ with Jehovah. CJB, for example...
