    Was Jesus Guilty Of Unbelief?

Not a problem, it can certainly happen on a fast paced forum.

    Was Jesus Guilty Of Unbelief?

Selene, I am in agreement with Lamsa, that was my point in starting the thread. My first question was, "... if most here believe that Jesus is God, how on earth can you live with the errant translation of Matt 27:46, Mark 15:34??" Exactly! Tom, you should really look at my first...

    Was Jesus Guilty Of Unbelief?

Excellent AG! This was my point, however I was hoping that more would take the time to see that Jesus could NOT have said "why have you forsaken me".

    Was Jesus Guilty Of Unbelief?

Let me ask again, Have you ever read Matt 27:46 or Mark 15:34 in the Aramaic Peshita or the Hebrew Matthew?

    Was Jesus Guilty Of Unbelief?

I appreciate the comment but it is just speculation as Scripture neither bears out this connection nor does it support the transliteration of the two verses.

    Was Jesus Guilty Of Unbelief?

Absolutely! Have you ever read Matt 27:46 or Mark 15:34 in the Aramaic Peshita or the Hebrew Matthew or Lamsa? Not close enough to Psalm 22, and besides, trace the supposed connection to Psalm 22? Who was the first to come up with the connection?

    Was Jesus Guilty Of Unbelief?

No he wasn't! Just look at the implications of Jesus believing that His Father had forsaken Him! First of all. that would make Him guilty of unbelief, Secondly, how many new Believers would have stuck around knowing that at any time God could just forsake them? Third, if Jesus was God...

Is it ok for a Christian to kill people?

ahigherway, on 02 March 2011 - 08:26 AM, said: ...Can Christians kill other people? ... Absolutely not!!!! Spend some time tracing the "Just War Theory", (inventors = Augustine and Thomas Aquinas).

Solving the mistery of the trinity.

It's a Th.D. Jacob and I have already apologized to the forum for appearing to be superior in any way, which was never my intent. I even changed my sign in name so that others would not be as offended as you seem to be. I came here because I thought this was a Christian forum where folks could...

Solving the mistery of the trinity.

I agree that God is THE One Supreme Being, the creator and ruler of the universe You also said that Jesus is God citing the Scriptures you gave me. However you had also told me that you did NOT believe that Jesus is The Father. Now, I understand the term God to mean, The Father is THE One...

Solving the mistery of the trinity.

Don't quit on me now Ducky!! Don't be rude Jacob. At least Ducky answered my question as to what understands about the word God.

Solving the mistery of the trinity.

OK. Since you say that Jesus is God, what I believe you are really saying is He, (Jesus), is THE One Supreme Being, the creator and ruler of the universe.

Solving the mistery of the trinity.

Tom, perhaps you would be so kind as to define what you mean when you say "Jesus is God". Please define your understanding of the English word God? Where? I don't remember anyone defining what they meant by "God"? Just those saying that the don't have to???? Do you really know what the...

Solving the mistery of the trinity.

Ducky, just give your definition of God. Can't be that hard. It doesn't make me any smarter than you.

Solving the mistery of the trinity.

We are and no contest has ever been intended. I am just really amazed that no one here can define the word God? If they would, then we could really see if there is really any difference in what we are saying.

Solving the mistery of the trinity.

I suppose you could be charged with the same offence as you believe that your understanding is the only correct one. But this is a forum for "Debate", which is discussion in which people or groups state different opinions. The object is to define terms to help further understanding. Now...

Solving the mistery of the trinity.

You may believe that, but there in no definite textual support as to what Jesus looked like before His Incarnation. Matt 24:36-37 "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. It is quite obvious that Jesus did not know "all" things...
