Okay.
Perhaps I was mistaken in saying that the guy attributed what is of the Holy Spirit to demons.
I hope for his sake that I was.
But of course, that would mean that my spiritual gift of tongues is a false gift and therefore I ought not to use it any more.
And therefore, if it is a true gift, this man is responsible for causing a gift of the Holy Spirit to cease from operation in my life.
Or, I can simply believe the truth of the matter, that the spiritual gift in my life is in fact from the Holy Spirit, in which case the reality of that means that this guy attributed what is of the Holy Spirit to demons.
But I may decide to cease from operating in my gift just so that I can have a false hope on his behalf that he can still be forgiven.
While even if my gift is true, I have a true hope on his behalf that he can receive the equivalent of forgiveness (2 Samuel 14:14, Acts of the Apostles 3:19).
