*Hermeneutics. Rightly dividing the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15)

Which in the world of OSAS means ignore the whole counsel of God and refuse to accept all that the Lord says in His Word concerning salvation.

Hebrews 10:29 clearly warns those that have been sanctified that they can expect rejection if they return to their sin counting the Blood of Jesus as though it were an unholy thing

2 Peter 2:20
For if after they have escaped the pollution of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

2 Peter 2:20 makes it very very clear that someone who has been born again can in fact lose their salvation which of course the OSAS peoples ignore having been blinded by doctrines of demons to believe even if someone lives in sin after being born again they are still saved

A major biblical truth the OSAS crowd always explains away or denies is simply this... God is NOT mocked, what we sow is what we reap - if we sow to the flesh we shall of the flesh reap corruption. (Galatians 6:7-8)

If one claims we DO reap corruption when we sin, then they are admitting they do not believe OSAS / Eternal security doctrine (and sadly many of their friends will forsake them!).... and if one claims we DO NOT reap what we sow, then according to Gal 6:7, that would be mocking God!

So Gal 6:7,8 is quite the quandary, quite the state of uncertainty and perplexity for the adherents of OSAS doctrine.

Here's how the OSAS peoples respond to actual biblical Truth:

Actually I did not ignore the whole council of God and I properly harmonized scripture with scripture before reaching my conclusion on doctrine. You cherry pick your doctrine.
I already thoroughly covered Hebrews 10:29. Now lets take a look at 2 Peter 2:20. Those who are truly born of God through previous promises may become partakers of the divine nature. (2 Peter 1:4) They have been transformed from pigs and dogs into sheep. The change is more than just cosmetic, as in 2 Peter 2:20. Moral self-reformation is not a substitute for regeneration.

*These cleaned up on the outside dogs and pigs were never sheep.

Compare 2 Peter 1:4 - "partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption - Strongs #5356 that is in the world through lust with 2 Peter 2:20 - with they escaped the pollutions - Strongs #3356 (different Greek word) of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, yet they are again entangled therein, and overcome.

*Notice that 2 Peter 2:20 did not mention them being "partakers of the divine nature." Corruption is deeper than pollutions/defilements on the outside: it is decay on the inside.

Having the knowledge of Jesus Christ does not save a person if there is no heart submission to that knowledge. The latter end is worse than the beginning for these men because rejecting this knowledge will make them more accountable at the judgment. Judas Iscariot is a good example of someone who rejected the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ yet was never saved. (John 6:64-71; 13:10-11)

Now in regard to Galatians 6:7-8, one who is continuously (Greek present tense) sowing to his own corrupt flesh, which is opposed to God and unrenewed by the Holy Spirit shall of the flesh reap corruption.

Our life here is sowing of one kind or another. But he who sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap everlasting life. In opposition to corruption, eternal life is produced by the Holy Spirit in those who place their faith (belief, trust, reliance) in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. (Ephesians 2:8,9)

More blindness from those OSAS demons...

The only people who have "escaped the pollution of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" are those that have been born again

I already proved otherwise in post #102. There seems to be no cure for your severe case of anti-OSAS derangement syndrome.

2 Peter 2:20 clearly say they have ESCAPED the the pollution of the world

So you are saying one can escape the the pollution of the world without being born again thru Jesus Christ?

This would be a whole new level of confusion on your part.

I already thoroughly covered that in post #102. Go back and read my post again very slowly this time and be sure to compare 2 Peter 2:20 with 2 Peter 1:4. *Hermeneutics.

I read your conjecture, and it falls way short of the Truth found in the whole counsel of God.

Keep swinging there sport, maybe you'll get it someday! amen-prayer.gif
