One must be careful with that idea that Christians are supposed to be pacifists.

Jesus said:

Luke 22:36
36 Then said He unto them, "But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip:
and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one."
KJV

Christians are not second-class citizens. We have a God-given right to self-defense.

It is Christ's enemies that push the idea that Christians should be pacifists, especially those who follow Karl Marx and Communism.

Even in ex-KGB colonel Anatoliy Golitsyn who defected to the United States in the '60's said in his 1984 book New Lies For Old, that the Soviet Communists have a strategy to infiltrate the Christian Churches and push ideas of disarmament and pacifist dogma. Ex-16 year FBI agent Cleon Skousen also documented this in his 1958 book The Naked Communist.
