The swordsman hacks and slashes creatures across the screen. A lit candle smolders. It adds a pleasant scent to the room. We are both focusing on two different screens. But the companionship is still deeply appreciated.

She sips the coffee stained mug on the sofa as the sun sets.
In this moment, she is happy.
Fall is coming bringing cozy treasures.
Im home,  she thinks with a deep inhale.
I'm home and it's all I need.

I'm clearing a path future generations will tread.
In the secret place, prayer builds monuments and cathedrals of blessings.
I am a sojourner here. I am not permanent.
The world roars. Christ whispers
Follow me instead of these things.

Thankful

Once there was a woman who had an extraordinary gift. She could change into colors of the rainbow and each color had a different gift. Lorena turned red and fire would warm those around her. She would turn orange and could fly up in the sky and touch the clouds. With green she could help the earth and grow flowers, trees, and beautiful green fields and meadows. Yellow is invisible to those around her. She cannot be seen. Blue was being able to control the water to help others who thirst. In the real world Lorena is a superhero. She is sheltered from the enemy and He hides her under His loving wings. She uses the Word of God to bring warmth and clothe those in need. Lorena can be brave and reach new heights, reaching heights she has never reached before. Lorena can plants seeds and nurture them to grow beautiful flowers and trees. Lorena can give water to those who thirst. May God help me guide you and your brother to control your gifts and grow up as beautiful as a rainbow. I already see it in both my kids.

I was fourteen when I first encountered the darkness—Satanism, confusion, and a world that felt far from God. But even then, Yahavah reached into the chaos and began a work in me. My life has been anything but ordinary. I’ve lived in the same Alabama town for over two decades, mostly on my own, watching people come and go—family, friends, strangers. Some stayed. Some didn’t.

I never knew my father well, but I learned what not to be. My siblings have their own stories—loss, love, jail time, children, and the weight of choices. I’ve seen pain, but I’ve also seen mercy. Through it all, I’ve come to believe that abiding in Jesus is the only way forward. Without Him, we can do nothing.

I don’t walk higher or lower than anyone else. I walk with the Spirit of Christ, who brings peace, forgiveness, and the fruit of righteousness—not by my strength, but by His. I believe in spiritual truth over material religion. The church isn’t a building—it’s the body of believers, scattered and seeking.

God is near to the brokenhearted. He adopts us, teaches us, and calls us to love. My mission is simple: to share what’s been done on our behalf, to encourage others to seek faith, and to live with purpose—even when the walk is hard. Especially then.

The leaves wither and float to the ground. They are dead. They seem useless. The trees are barren in winter. They appear to do nothing. But important happenings are in the barrenness.

We fade away each night like a tiny death, appearing like conscious corpses. But we are restored by sleep. It's not always in the doing that we thrive. In the space of unproductive rest, silence, daydreams, and thoughts, we get a great idea. We get inspired. We come alive.

It's in the not doing that we remember why we do things. It's in the falling back, the taking of time to rest, we are renewed to take on life again.

It's the sabbath that punctuates our working. It's the period at the end of a sentence. The pause before the best part of a song. Long do we toil and much do we sweat but the lilies of the field simply are and they are no less beautiful.

To any who lives and dwells in the land of west texas or perhaps oklahoma , or arizona and new mexico
SEPT is not feared but rather is hopes for cooling weather to be on the way .

If you come to texas in the summer time
you just wait till you get off that plane and then walk outside , IT gonna feel like an oven hit ya .
Half of them gonna scramble to get back ON THAT PLANE much quicker than they got off that plane .
IT be a hot one d own here .
BUT i do have good news . PRAISE GOD FOR JESUS CHRIST , cause the LAKE OF FIRE is far hotter than west texas .
And thanks TO HIM i wont have to go there at my end .

Here's a fun one (I cut it off at about 300 words - there's 500 more sml):

THE KING THUMB

A children’s tale of a great king who had a vision and made a world. A Christian gospel adventure through time—and through the mirror on the king’s wall—through it all!

By Scott Allen Taylor

Subject to copyright – 1999

There once was a great King who lived in an everlasting house, a house of living water.

One day, while staring at his wall, the King thought to himself and said, "How is it, that I have no daughter?"

Then, dueling with his thumbs as though they were sons, he made himself a wager. "The problem with Me, though I be Three, is that I'm not free to be a Father. But I'll just wage my kingdom on a stage, this matter in my hands, and pick myself a winner!"

So in fairness of fight, thumb to thumb, amidst his everlasting, eternal kingdom—he paused...

"I must do the right thing!" he thought—and yielded to his left.

"There!" he said to his left thumb, "See, what you have done? In my living room, in my house of living water, you have gone too far! Out with you, you off-handed thumb! Into the mirror on the wall with you—not here in my house, nor in my kingdom—but there, into the image of the mirror with you, where I can see you."

Now the stage was set.

In the King's mirror was the likeness of the King's image through his own thumb and his great imagination. In the image of the mirror he could now wage his will, without so much as a spill—not even an Adam.

Paper Crane

All the meds
All the brain rot
A million social media pings
Cannot extinguish that flame
The spark
Of wanting to create
Still burns
A delicate paper crane called hope
Settles on a mind
Addled by excuses
Responsibilities
Life's daily tasks
But
The paper crane will dance
And set off
A fiery reaction
That meds
Social media pings
And brain rot
Cannot extinguish
