Thank you for your post.

Certainly being wrongly convicted was an injustice, but he was not executed, and now justice has prevailed, thanks to those who believed in his innocence.

You make it sound as if for someone at age 68, life is over, but many at that age have not begun retirement.

Consider also the story of the patriarch Joseph: sold into slavery, later falsely imprisoned, but never doubting God. Surely a good Christian will accept the twists and turns of life, and find a way to Love God and Neighbor under the most trying of circumstances.

Blessings.

Gotta wonder also at how many death row inmates wrongly convicted are dead now.

This case is a tragedy. Nearly 4 decades in an earthly Hell and he was innocent the whole time.

Even if there was a lawsuit for wrongful conviction, he will never get those years back.

Horrible. Heartbreakingly horrible.

God be with him.

In very recent years I've heard of at least three wrongful convictions where the men had served around 40 years.

The Innocent Project took on their cases and DNA evidence cleared them.

This is interesting....death penalty case for murder.

The man arrested said he was at the ballgame with his daughter when the crime was committed. His lawyer found out a TV show had been filming at the stadium, in his client's section.

So they scoured the TV footage....and sure enough, there was his client at the ballgame!

Four murderers were later found.

Love Innocence Project. God bless them. They've even saved people who were on death row.
