yet Christians and Muslims are living in comparative peace as citizens in Israel, so what is different about Gaza? Israel is the symptom, Hamas is the root cause.

Shariah law is the violent religion
No matter what your nationalty, if you follow shariah law you follow a violent religion.
I have ALWAYS been in support of Israel to defend their citizens from being bombed daily and attacked.
But make no mistake, Israel of the flesh does murder and it will get worse = Revelation 11:7-10
7When the two witnesses have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will wage war with them, and will overpower and kill them. 8Their bodies will lie in the street of the great city—figuratively called Sodom and Egypt—where their Lord was also crucified. 9For three and a half days all peoples and tribes and tongues and nations will view their bodies and will not permit them to be laid in a tomb. 10And those who dwell on the earth will gloat over them and celebrate and send one another gifts, because these two prophets had tormented them.

Seriously, who do you think these people imeu are? As I said, it depends on whom one believes, and having not been to Israel or Gaza or West Bank, I tend to be very careful.

Shariah Law is not a religion.
It is found WITHIN a religion and that religion is ISLAM.
Agreed then that Islam is a violent religion.
You could get killed by disagreeing with it.
And maybe it should get worse.
They say things get worse before they get better.
Maybe one day no more bombs will be dropping on Israel.
Maybe a father will leave for work and a child will leave for school and the probability will be that they return home that evening.
Maybe it will no longer be necessary for almost every citizen to be trained militarily.
Well, when the bombs are falling...
most are running to shelters and not reading scripture.

The Talmud and the OT also support the death of gentiles.
Always REST on the WORD of GOD for sound judgment on these matters.
This is why the US Constitution is Essential to Freedom = It came from the words of GOD
All men created equal
Freedom of Speech and to address the government for grievances/correction.
Freedom of religion = peaceful = Calling for the death of infidels/jews/christians is TERRORISM
Right to bear arms = we have the right to defend liberty and justice when they come to murder you and your family
Right to assembly
Right to speedy hearing - as opposed to being incarcerated for months and years with no time limit

The question then is this: Do Gazan 'christians' agree to the death of Israel, the continued bombing of Israel?
If yes, then they are not authentic christians.
