There is a lot of talk about spiritual warfare these days (ie – warfare against demons and the kingdom of darkness). And a lot of suggestions about how to wage spiritual war and what weapons to use. I had a dream awhile back in which I am given a rifle that had two bullets in it — and in the dream, I am told that with these bullets I can hold off a lot of enemies. The two bullets were humility and obedience.

Yes, things like targeted intercession and fasting can be very helpful in fighting against forces of darkness and extending the Kingdom of God — but we must never lose sight of how important and effective such “simple” (and profound) things as Godly character and obedience are.

“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” (1 Peter 5:6-9)

Jesus, when He was referring to the devil, said “the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.” (John 14:30) What He was saying is that there was no area of compromise in His heart or life that the enemy could use against Him. And when we walk in humility and obedience to the Holy Spirit, our hearts are like strong towers that the enemy cannot penetrate.

Hello @Disciple777 ! If I haven't already welcomed you here, I do now. Welcome:woohoo!::thumbsupx1 And if you have any questions, feel free to ask me!
Enjoy your time here!

I really enjoyed your OP and those two things are paramount IMHO-Humility and obedience. Add faith to those 2 and that becomes a triad of spiritual strength. And of course, without His Spirit in you, none of these things will be given you.
In Christ,
Nancy

Hate is the adversary of Love.
And this world makes hating easy and loving hard.
It seems like, that today is that day for that temptation.

And just as 2020 with the roll out of the George Floyd riots, I find myself watching live streams all night of MN, OR, CA.
I saw something last night that gave me a little hope.
Usually it's people (some rather strange even) standing around shouting obscenities at a wall.
They play really loud music and chant chants, and talk about how unfair the world is.

But last night there was couple people just came to talk. And the people standing around started asking questions.
Some of them so easy that you would find it difficult to understand how they couldn't comprehend the answer.
But some of them tried. And even tried to reason why they believed what they did.
A lot of questions about the Constitution and the Law.
How they couldn't understand why people are called illegal. There are no illegal people.
I don't think they grasp the meaning of borders. Unless they set them of course. Then if you cross that line, not good.

Sometimes I think skipping High School was a blessing. I didn't get all caught up in the racial tensions that began in the 80's.
I had to figure things out myself. Which maybe made it easier to have critical thinking skills.

I know God is moving and the world is being shaken to it's very core.
The lines are being drawn and we have to choose a side.
And everyone has their own perception of what good or evil looks like.

I'm the Law and Order type. I believe in borders. I believe in Legal immigration. I am a conservative.
I believe in free markets. I believe in Sovereignty. I believe in being a peacekeeper rather than a warmonger.
I believe in Do No Harm.

And there are those that don't believe in illegal or unlawfulness. Anything goes as long as it's their perception. Lack of tolerance.
Bitterness, immaturity, impatience, anger.

And the temptation is for you to join in. Try to see things from their perspective and try to rationalize it in your own mind.
That's the seed that gets planted. And sometimes it's not so obvious or insidious. It's just a little deception.
Because we don't want to offend anyone, we open ourselves to all kinds of acceptances.

How can you be so cruel to send people back from where they came from even though the only home they've ever known was here?
How can you take people and detain them, and put them in a facility, and break up families?

I get it. I hear it. But that critical thinking kicks in and I think, If they only came in legally and respected our borders, none of this would be happening.

Trying to also remember that a lot of the people came in as children, a lot of them unaccompanied children. And our immigration laws need a fresh look. Judging by the character.
But they keep them in hiding so we don't know or can't learn who they are or how they feel.
And we know that there are also very bad characters mixed in. And they are sent here to deliberately hurt us and our way of life.
It's a battle of deep spiritual reflection.
And a lot of prayer.

I hope I find more hope tonight. I prefer more wheat to tares if possible.

Hugs

I was wondering if there's going to be a pinned thread to explain about this section and guidance. Will we get that? Or does the description on the spiritual warfare section do that already?

I've been dealing with witchcraft season and hit hard with it. Would that be suitable for this section?
