Just a commentary on the times.....
My husband and I watched an old John Wayne movie. He was a soldier fighting in the Philippines against the Japanese. The Japanese captured a school on the island and ordered the principal to lower the American flag and raise theirs. He refused and was hung...in front of the children. When the DUKE found out he retaliated and hung the pilgrim on the same flagpole. Realize too....he had just witnessed Americans being slaughtered by the Japanese in the Bataan Death March.
Now...his hanging the Japanese murderer, for it was cold-blooded murder, didn't offend me at all. It was war, the man was guilty of murder and the Japanese were our enemies.
So today we turn on the news and.... :blink: Our Navy Seal captured an ISLAMIC TERRORIST, the one that hung Americans on the bridge at the beginning of the WAR. Instead of being called the HERO that he is....he is being court martialed for slapping the TERRORIST/MURDERER and blooding his nose. What a world!
By the way....Hussein Obama, our beloved president, is saying it's a no-no to use the words ISLAMIC TERRORIST. He also had a new postal stamp created.....with Islamic symbols. They added a few butterflies to conceal it but....it's muslim alright.
On a different topic.....I watched the Governor of West Virginia in a press conference yesterday concerning the mine collapse and trapped miners. One of the reporters asked...."do you have grief counselors for the families?" He gave her a quizzical look and replied...."here in West Virgina, our clergy are our grief counselors....we're tough." I loved that.
