Romans 7:6 (NASB)
But now we have been released from the Law, having died to that by which we were bound, so that we serve in newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
‘that we serve in newness of the Spirit’
Let me change one word here and see if it has a ring of truth in it?
‘that we serve in newness of the relationship’
For this is the truth being pointed at, one is to no longer serve God with a check list of do’s and don’ts.. But serve Him in a living heart or living life to life relationship...
This, in the Spirit, that is being spoken of, is a real relationship where both the believer and Him meet in the innermost being of the heart and life... There is a constant communication between the one and the other...
For the heart has to be taught to hear the peace of Christ in the inner most being where He has come to make His abode, which is His constant speaking voice in the believer....
This newness of Spirit, is the worshipping of Him in Spirit and truth... This one and one relationship the heart tastes with it’s Creator... Feeding this relationship, giving up all that this relationship might grow.... Making this new life that has been born in one the all of one’s existence... Is the life that will know that one has met their Creator and this relationship only gets richer, more joyful, more real and living, the more one gives themselves up to this relationship...
For He is not a distant God, but one that has promised to come to make His abode in the one that asks....
Be blessed all in that relationship that has a great and greater reward...
