The voice I often hear internally is harsh, gives me zero credit, only detracts, and does nothing to actually make me better.

It criticizes me as a wife, mom, homemaker, and Christian. It's anxious and never satisfied.

But the opposite of anxiety is gratitude. I choose to fight back by being thankful for the many blessings in my life and focusing on the goodness of God.

I have many weaknesses but God's power is made perfect in weakness. I have done evil in my past but God can take evil and make good come of it.

The Lord is my light and salvation.

The Lord is the stronghold of my life. Whom shall I fear?

Aww I suspected that you deal with that. No one is perfect, but those things are what I was raised with- all negativity and criticisms. It's not from God. It's the accuser of the brethren.
Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. Rev 12:10

-He gets into our thoughts- accusing us. spiritual warfare.. take up your armor- all of it. -Ephesians

-AND he lives in those who falsely accuse Christians and distort the gospel, attempting to divide us, or put laws onto us, tell us to doubt the scriptures, try to convert us to their cult, etc. He has many tactics. Many may sound "godly" but are not. Many angels of light..
They don't want us to rest in Him because they don't.
-
AND
he accused us before God constantly...

But the opposite of anxiety is gratitude. I choose to fight back by being thankful for the many blessings in my life and focusing on the goodness of God.
Yes-Gratitude is the best way of life, no doubt! We take too much for granted. There is always something to take notice of. Take up all of your armor too.. this is just an overview..
I have many weaknesses but God's power is made perfect in weakness. I have done evil in my past but God can take evil and make good come of it.
We all have. Your past is forgiven and forgotten by God. Look ahead! It's so true that in our weaknesses we are made strong. These things we fight help us to grow. Although it does not feel that way at the time. It can feel fiery. As you look to Jesus and lean on Him during these battles He will reveal how He is growing you, in time. I've had to face things I never did before and I grew. Talk with Him about it!
The Lord is my light and salvation.

The Lord is the stronghold of my life. Whom shall I fear?
Amen. Love casts fear out!

I am now convinced I was tested by the enemy. I was tempted in so many ways in such a short period of time. I lost my joy. The enemy made serving God seem like drudgery.

Watched a vid by an author last night. That harsh voice may not be yours. Remember to take all thoughts obedient to Christ.
I don't think it was. It lifted today after I pressed into Scripture, prayer, and worship. I think it was a test and temptation of the enemy.

Hi sister, @TitusTwoWife. The lord prompted me to write this at the beginning of the month for our library. If you get the chance, please read it, as it seems to be something that happens more often than we realize. Bless your heart. Blht

I think your inner voice has a Twin sister and she’s living inside of me, although she nags me about getting older rather than about being a wife as that role I no longer have - it’s not as if I want her living so close within, wish she would pack up her bags and leave. Yes, Gratitude helps a lot xx
Hoping she will lose her voice one day !
