January 2 The White House orders the National Guard assignment
January 3 The Capital Security turns down the offer .... in writing
January 4 The Mayor of Washington DC sends a letter asking the National Guard not be assigned.
January 6 The riot occurs ..1300 National Guard were on the streets, blocks from the Capital. 2000 National Guard were on buses ready to take over security if requested.
