God forgave the world its sin, 2000 yrs ago. But to receive this eternal forgiveness, you have to be born again..

Many times Christians need be exhorted to forgive themselves for a past sin, when God already has forgiven them by confession of it with godly sorrow.

But I have yet to hear of how the whole world is already forgiven of sins, and the world just needs to forgive itself.

This teaching is saying: all the world of people are already forgiven like Christians, and they just need to learn to believe that.

The problem is, of course, that Christians learning to acknowledge they are already forgiven by the goodness and mercy of Christ, are already saved while learning that.

And so, if the world is already forgiven also, then they also are already saved.

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.

You see, being forgiven by God of sins, is salvation. That's what being saved washed in the blood is.

So, OSAS teachers are saying that all the world is already forgiven of all sins past, present, and future, and so are saved, and the only difference between OSAS believers and the world, is that OSAS believes that.

Well, at least there's one thing different between OSAS believers and the world: faith alone!

Ah, you continue to paint with such a broad brush... No, as I've said before, there are good "OSAS teachers," and then there are bad "OSAS teachers." To explain:

There is a sense in which we are saved (it is an assurance of God and thus a certainty), but also a sense in which we are being saved (we will be saved at the day of Christ). So, what you say here is half right. This is the now and the not yet of salvation. God is working in us so that we will and work for His good pleasure/glory. So our future salvation is assured now because of the obedience and good works that God Himself will bring about in us through His ongoing work in us by His Holy Spirit. This is what "good OSASes" :) believe.

Unfortunately, there are some "OSASes" who only understand that first sense, that everything is already forgiven, and they disregard the second, that we have a great responsibility to live as becomes followers of Christ, and to work to the glory of God. These are... "bad OSASes." :) They're called antinomians, and they're terribly wrong.

Grace and peace to you, Robert.

The imaginations of OSNAS proponents. Now they're claiming Universalism is a component of the eternal irrevocable Gospel. What's next?

The armies of Hell cannot stand against the true Gospel of Christ.

But, oh how they try. :(

What actual Christian insists they're not secure in Christ, as Jesus said?
Not one.
