Politicians can't fix us. Here's what can: men and women focusing on the home and women especially saying no to careerism.

Women have always worked and there's no issue with that within the context of supporting the home. Only in the last few decades have women believed its normal to work a long time away from their children. Only recently have we been taught that marriage and motherhood are side gigs to a career.

This has caused a lot of issue in society. It's hard to balance a husband's needs with a career. This has put a strain on marriages. Divorce rates have skyrocketed with the majority of them being iniated by women.

People are less healthy. Cooking at home from Mom is becoming substituted with microwave meals and fast food. No one has time to cook anymore if everyone's working full time.

Children are broken. They don't want to be shipped off to strangers. They crave their mother's attention.

Neighborhoods are not communities anymore. It was the women being present that gave rise to a sense of community and fun among neighbors. That sense of community is very hard to come by now.

Women weren't always measured by how they could compete with men. We were priceless because our very presence had a civilized effect on everyone. We were treasured as aunties, grandmas, mother's, sisters, and daughters.

We are taught now that motherhood is an unwanted burden and we waste our most fertile years in college and establishing a career only to not be able to have children later when we want them so desperately.

We have got to get away from careerism and go back to women specializing in the nurturing role we thrive in and not the competitive role that makes tends to make us sick, fat, and miserable.

Home is not the main focus of the Bible.

The main focus of the Bible is our wholesome relationship with God.

I think the home and family has been the natural way humans have existed throughout time. The family was the first institution for humans. Its where everything else stemmed from.

Its only because of a particular worldview belief of individualism that is negating this basic archetype as the first and most basic way of ordering humans in the world.

Along with individualism is materialism and the two go hand in hand. As humans have developed more tech its allowed people to become the gods of their own world. Or they believe in such an idea more and more as time goes by.

Most philosophical scholars of human history agree that the basis for a strong society and nation is the traditional family. WE can trace the pattern of cultures deteriorating after the family breaks down.

Good strong families make good strong societies and nations. Rampant individualism puts the individual or group identity above the betterment of the family, society and nation. Its as simple as that.

Also understanding our present circumstance is also important and the sin that many nations committed with respect to the Land of Babylon which has brought the following curses upon those nations as foretold in Jeremiah: -

Against you, O daughter of Babylon. ​

43 "The king of Babylon has heard the report about them,​

And his hands grow feeble;​

Anguish has taken hold of him,​

The measure of your covetousness. [2]​

14 The Lord of hosts has sworn by Himself:​

"Surely, I will fill you with men, as with locusts/who devour much,​

And they shall lift up a shout against you."​

15 He has made the earth by His power;​

He has established the world by His wisdom,​

And stretched out the heaven by His understanding.​

16 When He utters His voice —​

There is a multitude of waters in the heavens:​

"He causes the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth;​

He makes lightnings for the rain;​

He brings the wind out of His treasuries.[3]"​

Every metalsmith is put to shame by the carved image;​

For his moulded image is falsehood,​

Perhaps those who can see the connection will understand what their sin was that they need to repent of.

[1] This sentence is probably talking about the Islamic fighting force known as Isis, which have come out of the area of Persia which today is known as Iran.
[2] It is my opinion that God is speaking of the member nations of the Coalition of the willing, lead by the USA President who invaded Iraq/the Land of Babylon to heal the land in their own strength instead of destroying it, in 2003.

I think for all our history up until 5 minutes ago in modern times that this has changed. But so has a number of related issues. Like getting married at all or the idea of single motherhood and having it all as an option. Cancelling men and fathers. This is all part of the same ideology.

A socially reconstructed women, man, marriage and family and by extention world into the image of humans and not God. Like we are blank slate robots who can be reprogrammed to negate nature.

In fact along with this worldview we actually try to manipulate nature itself across all areas like agriculture, health, and Ai. The same thinking believes that we will one day re create the womb and and consciousness artificially.

When you reject God then humans turn to playing god.

Ironically the truth has always been there through our own lived experiences. It was only a couple of decades ago that the well accepted fact of marriage, procreation and families was the bedrock of health and stable individuals and societies. Like most other objective facts these are tossed aside for the sake of individual rights over all else.

I think most people including women know this reality. But like all humans there is a tendency to rebel and want to do it our way and be the gods of our own destiny.
