ERETZ YISRAEL Sound and music of the Holy Land.

A song about the Holy Land, a bit of history, and a bit of His word.
And yes, conflict and struggle is a way of life in the region.
Peace, and going to the Promise Land, our journey's destination.

Pray for peace in our world!

The Promised Land, Words and Music by Rene A

Oh… Eretz Yisrael
From Dan to Beersheba
A covenant to Abraham’s descendants
The Promised Land

Destiny, hope, and redemption
The struggle to escape slavery and darkness
For King to shout “I’ve Been to the Mountaintop”
Give glory to His coming

Holy land
Promise land
Conflict and peace, a journey of life.

No Jew nor Gentile
Neither slave nor free
Neither male nor female
For you are all one in Christ

Ah, the Promise Land is not longer available to the nation of Israel to claim as their land, given to them by the Lord, because of their idolatrous behaviour, God Himself stripped the land from them, so that Israel would be scattered to the four corners of the compass around the world so as to become a future blessing to the nations of the earth when they are redeemed in our near future.

Genesis 13:14-17 when paraphrased contextually to reflect the Hebrew text tells us this in the English context.

14 And the Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: "Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are — northward, southward, eastward, and westward; 15 for all the land/earth which you see I give to you and/, {that (entity)}, I will give to your descendants forever/for a long period of time whose ending, which is beyond man’s comprehension, is at the vanishing point, {of this particular time period}, in the future}. 16 And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, then your descendants also could be numbered. 17 Arise, walk in the land/about the/my earth through its length and its width, for I give it to you/Me to give it to you. "

Yes, God had promised to give all of the earth to Abraham and his descendants, but in this chapter God describes the land He would give to them to live in for a period of time. In Genesis 15:19-21 God makes a solemn covenant with Abraham, so that when Abraham's descendants are actually living in the described land in Genesis 15:17-21, that they too will know that God will honor His covenant of Giving the Descendant of Abraham, whether natural or grafted, the whole earth.

Please allow me to provide a confirmation of my above Paraphrase that was recorded around 1600? years after God's promise to given in Genesis 13:14-17 and was recorded by Ezekiel in Chapter 34. The context of God's prophecy in our present English Translations does not convey the Prophetic context that God was conveying. Below is my Paraphrase of what I believe is God's context in this prophecy: -

11 'For thus says the Lord God: "Indeed I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out. 12 As a shepherd seeks out his flock on the day he is among his scattered sheep, so will I seek out My sheep and deliver/rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on a cloudy and dark day. 13 And I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries and will bring them to/into their own land/fertile field; I will feed them on the mountain(s) of Israel, {a metaphor for Israel’s religious basis}, in the {river} valleys and in all the inhabited places of the country/earth. 14 I will feed them in good pasture, and their fold shall be on the high mountain(s) of Israel, {i.e. the religious basis of Israel}. There they shall lie down in a good fold and feed in rich pasture on the mountain(s) of Israel {i.e. the religious basis of Israel}. 15 I will feed My flock, and I will make them lie down," says the Lord God. 16 "I will seek what was lost and bring back what was driven away, bind up the broken and strengthen what was sick; but I will destroy the fat and the strong, and feed them in judgment."

The paraphrase I have provided above gives a very different understanding of how God will redeem Israel to Himself, and it does not embrace the presently accepted understanding that Israel has to return to the Land of Canaan for them to be redeemed. What God wants, is for Israel to repent of their continual idolatrous worship, and for all of Israel to accept His terms of peace where they are living when God redeems Israel for Himself, so that He can make like new once more the Kingdom of Priests, a Holy Nations and His possession among the Nation Covenant, which Israel rebelled against in under 40 days at Mt. Sinai while Moses was up on the mountain with God. The difference between the old version of this covenant and the newer version is that the process of redemption for all of the nations has been changed by Christ on the Cross.

I hope that this helps cement your understanding.

Shalom

Thanks so much Jay.
I have so much to learn.
The old and new versions of redemption, at this time, changed by Jesus Christ's Crucifixion and Resurrection.
Very well crafted.

Rene
