A Sonnet On Theosis
Divine Light, the One, unseen, flashes over the abyss,
against the darkness, speaking, yet unspoken,
manifesting mystery, in that nothingness, bliss:
Light from Light, love, the joy, creation, and its Amen.
And so it was spoken, and so it was then,
when time was not, but yet still became;
Divine Light is speaking, in time and to men,
who, walking in sad darkness, sought bliss to claim,
who gifted with it, from Light to Light, became the same.
Divine Light, the One, unseen, flashes over the abyss,
against the darkness, speaking, yet unspoken,
manifesting mystery, in that nothingness, bliss:
Light from Light, love, the joy, creation, and its Amen.
And so it was spoken, and so it was then,
when time was not, but yet still became;
Divine Light is speaking, in time and to men,
who, walking in sad darkness, sought bliss to claim,
who gifted with it, from Light to Light, became the same.
