I created this thread so that members can encourage one another and build each other up in their faith. 1 Thess 5:11. Sometimes the smallest encouragement can make a difference in a person's day.

The Young Man
This morning I was at the gym and noticed a young man working out. I have never met him before and do not know anything about him. The lord began to speak to me about him and his future. I just listened. He wanted me to go over and give him a word.

I hesitated as I sometimes do because I battle with whether I am actually hearing right or whether it’s just me, but I kept getting that prompting, that nod. The struggle is always real. The lord said it will bless him so I obeyed.

I walked over to him and said that I had a word for him from the lord. (no messing about). He was surprised but was open to the Lord’s word for him. Then I told him about the generation of family that will proceed from him. His wife and children, down through three generations of his line.

He was amazed! The young man is 19. He was involved in drugs after dealing with past family issues but has now come out of it. He lives with his Dad and one of his friends. He had been a believer for two years but always felt like he was just not good enough. That he was a nobody, had no confidence in himself, and found it hard socializing. One of the reasons why he joined the gym.

This blessed his heart tremendously as he opened up more about his life. It changed the way he felt about his personal relationship, In hindsight, knowing that the Lord has been with him all this time. Glory!

This morning, after prayer and getting ready for the day. I was preparing to lead worship at a local Aglow service when I heard the Lord say that a lady was going to come to the service and she had issues with her eyes. He said he wanted me to lay hands on her for a healing. I replied, "What if this does not happen, Lord, and it is not your voice I am hearing but something I conjured up in my own head? He said, "Then you need to step forward and do it and wait for the outcome." That is what faith is.” Chkl:

Anyway, at the service I got a chance to speak it over the mic because the Lord was prompting me to do so. Suddenly a woman stood up, asking for her prayer for her eyes, which we prayed for. This was a blessing, but I did not think this was the one God told me about this morning. Then another lady stood up who said she needed prayer for the same thing. The moment I touched her shoulder, the power of God came down, and the woman fell into a chair. After the team and I prayed for her, I spoke a verse to her from Isaiah 54:17. Her eyes widened, and she said this was her favorite verse. I think that was confirmation from the Lord not only for me but for her also. After the service I gave her my number and told her to text or ring me when she was completely healed of glaucoma.

After that it was like the floodgates opened and more came up for prayer. One lady had cancer riddled through her body; another had vertigo. God is so good. Sometimes we have to put our own inhibitions aside and just do what he says. It's like stepping over a precipice sometimes without a safety net. If we profess Jesus as our lord and savior and the Holy Spirit dwells within us, we have to be willing to release the Holy Spirit’s power in us. That power comes from the throne of grace into our innermost being, allowing the Holy Spirit to release that power in the communities and spheres of influence he has given us. It brings life, hope, salvation, deliverance, healing, provisions, and abundant blessings for those who need it. Glory to God! 05/05/2026
