When I stated that the reason for leaving Christianity was because of Christians, I never explained what exactly was happening. So I will explain why now.

They never showed any genuine interest in regards to anything that was a interest of mine. They dodged me at every turn to develop a real connection of having someone in my life who wants to know me. Worse than that was how they would keep me at arms length and prevent me from being apart of their own interests. You know far too many believer's treated me in this way before they even knew about my feelings with my daughter, so I can't say to myself they knew something that would warrant this continual defensive attitude. It was me who let that cat out of the bag, and even after so, they still treat me exactly the same way.

I'm sorry you had some bad experiences with Christians. But as for me, that would never cause me to reject my precious Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Not only has He forgiven me, but I have the peace of God in my heart and mind. And He gives me strength and help each day... I'm 75 and came to know Jesus personally at 22 years old.

19) When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
20) But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
21) Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
22) He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
23) But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

There are a lot of reasons for someone who has claimed Christianity to leave it, but it always means you were not true to begin with.

I left Christianity, not the teachings of Jesus. I still to this day draw great inspiration from his philosophy.

It means when you realize Christ died for your sins.... it's not just a saying. And you ask the Lord's forgiveness and believe on Him. The Lord promises us the Holy Spirit when we do that.

Oh, like why is it that your are the main individual who's replying to all of my threads. I have noticed that too. So why are you doing that? Because your not being in any sense uplifting. Mostly your replies to me are demeaning of my pain.

Research without faith would be rather empty. Knowing the Lord as your personal Savior brings peace due to the indwelling Holy Spirit.
