See the problem here is that you are relying on a belief and I am relying on the facts. Did you offer anything proving? other than your personal feelings on the matter. You just said YAHWEH is the God of Israel and Jesus is the Son of that God. Like I said, you're offering me a belief and nothing more.

You know far too many believer's treated me in this way before they even knew about my feelings with my daughter, so I can't say to myself they knew something that would warrant this continual defensive attitude. To be a Christian, or a servant of God, is not to observe who the servants are and what they are doing. It's about learning to be a servant of God, what to do and how to do it.

It means when you realize Christ died for your sins.... it's not just a saying. And you ask the Lord's forgiveness and believe on Him. The Lord promises us the Holy Spirit when we do that.

I don't want someone to die for my sins. Does that make sense for someone to die for your sins? No wonder the world is full of human beings who share no responsibility, because someone died for them. It's seriously immature.

That's the idea, but it never works out like that. Ultimately it's a problem with acting out of a belief based ideology. Yep, whole human race is in mass chaos because they can't let go of believing.

Regardless of our intentions Jesus died for our sins. Refusing the free offer of salvation means alienation from God for all eternity. So I'm Glad Jesus died for my sins because there is no other hope to avoid condemnation.

There are still consequences for our sins. Look at those who converted while sitting on death row.

There is another cost, and many find it too much to bare. We must surrender authority over our life to Jesus. Because he can't be Lord while we still are under the illusion of control.

As I'm reading through the posts in this thread, several scriptures come to mind.

None of us had a choice to be born into this fallen world. And as far as someone dying for our sins ....that wasn't our choice either. The eternal Godhead decided that before the foundation of the world.

Romans 5:8
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

John 15:13
“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

Ultimately, each one of us have to choose to believe, or not to believe. It comes down to personal experience. Someone can tell you what a ribeye tastes like, but you don't really know unless you taste it for yourself.

Psalm 34:8
“O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.”

There is plenty of evidence of God's existence just by observing nature.

I'm sorry you had some bad experiences with Christians. But as for me, that would never cause me to reject my precious Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Not only has He forgiven me, but I have the peace of God in my heart and mind. And He gives me strength and help each day... I'm 75 and came to know Jesus personally at 22 years old.

The truth of the entire matter is
IF anyone abandons JESUS it dont matter what excuse they gave , THEY did not desire him .
I been banned from more places than i can count .
Treated like anti christ and even called anti christ by some christains .
BUT IT darn SURE did not cause me to flee CHRIST . people leave for one reason , though they will often make excuses .
THEY either LOVED HIM or they NEVER DID LOVE HIM .
cause i darn sure dont get treated good by a lot of christains .
YET MY FIRE for THE LORD continues and i do all by HIS grace to help all , even those who hate and despise me .
YOUR RIGHT sister . WE DONT abandon JESUS no matter how we be treated by even those who profess to KNOW HIM .

Anytime one makes excuses for WHY they did not come
The fault was on them . THEY DID not want to come or to know the LORD .
Many always try and put the fault on the others when the fault belongs to them and them alone .
JESUS IS OUR KING SISTER , and HIS SHEEP GONNA HEED , LOVE and FOLLOW HIM .
