Firstly, the main version of man's theory of Amillennialism rejects the future "thousand years" reign by Christ and His elect of Revelation 20 as not being literal.
Instead, Amill theory believes that "thousand years" of Revelation 20 is meant metaphorically about the time of the cross down to Jesus' future return, which of course so far is a lot longer than a 1,000 years.
Amillennialism, though it is claimed to have begun in the 2nd century A.D., it actually did not become a popular doctrine in the Church until Augustine in the 3rd century A.D. The first century Church fathers were Premillennialists, believing the "thousand years" of Revelation 20 to be literal, and beginning on the future day of Christ's 2nd coming.
What happened to persuade many in the Church to believe the "thousand years" to be metaphorical? Some of the Church fathers believed that Christ's Kingdom had come at the cross, literally, so they chose to believe that the future literal "thousand years" reign by Christ had to be a metaphor for the Church age. With the destruction of Jerusalem and the 2nd temple of the Jews by the Romans in 70 A.D., the Church believed even more so that Christ's 'literal' Kingdom had come.
And because of that assumption by some in the Church, that Christ's literal Kingdom had come at the cross, factions in the Church that push that theory have sprang up, teaching that it's only a matter of time when all... the people's on earth will believe on Jesus Christ, like Universalism for one example. The Reformers also believe a version of that for today.
Yet Lord Jesus showed in John 18:36 that His Kingdom, meaning His literal Kingdom when He is to literally, physically, reign over all nations on this earth, with His elect, is not... of this present world time. And that fact should be easy to realize per Bible Scripture, because of the many Scriptures that show the conditions of Lord Jesus' future return to inherit David's earthly throne, and take reign over all peoples and nations on earth. In other words, one must omit many Bible Scriptures to this Biblical fact, in order to accept man's false doctrine of Amillennialism.
Since Lord Jesus' future return has yet to happen today, which Scriptures reveal that is when He will reign over the nations, then WHY... is the theory of Amillennialism accepted by some Church systems today, claiming Christ's future literal Kingdom has already come on earth?
One Word Government:
If you have studied Lord Jesus' Book of Revelation about the setting up of a one-world beast kingdom at the end per Revelation 13:1, that should tell you how Lord Jesus is yet to take reign over all nations and peoples today.
The Revelation 13:4-8 Scripture tells us the "dragon" (another title for Satan) will have power over all... peoples and nations for a period of 42 months (1260 days) at the end of this world. And the whole... world will worship him, except for Christ's elect who's names were written in the book of life from the foundation of the world. That should make it known to the believer that even though God is in control, He is allowing... that coming one-world beast kingdom to manifest on earth at the end, with that "dragon" in power over it. That reveals that it is definitely not... time today for Christ's literal Kingdom to manifest upon this earth. When Jesus' future Kingdom manifests on earth, there won't be any wickedness upon the earth.
What then is the theory of Amillennialism designed to do, and who is it actually from?
It is designed to deceive brethren in Christ away from Lord Jesus' warnings about the coming of a false-Christ at the end of this world which will play Jesus, claiming to be God, and over all that is called God, or that is worshiped, working great signs and miracles to fool the world (2 Thess.2:4).
Satan's host have been working on their "one world government" plan for centuries. Its purpose is to establish 'Peace and safety' upon the earth for all... peoples and nations for the future "great tribulation" time; no more wars, no more hunger, no more disease, nothing of want or need. What some deceived Churches instead preach for the coming "great tribulation" time is all out war and no peace, famine, earthquakes, etc. They misunderstand what Lord Jesus showed in His Olivet discourse, that those wars, famines, earthquakes, etc., are to happen in the time He called "the beginning of sorrows", a time immediately prior to the "great tribulation."
Daniel 8 with the coming false one reveals he will destroy many using 'peace', and craft will prosper by his hand. That means the tribulation is going to be a time of FAKE peace and prosperity, as long as one bows in worship to him. Jesus even showed it will be a time when all wars have ended, which is one of the goals of "one world government."
That is what the theory of Amillennialism is preparing the deceived for, that time of Peace and Safety on earth, a "one world government" which will be the one-world beast kingdom shown at Revelation 13:1 which the "dragon" will reign over for 42 months.
God has ordained that future event to happen, and He has warned His servants in Christ about it by His Word. We in Christ are not... to be deceived by the future fake peace working by the coming false-Messiah, nor by the miracles he will work on this earth. And because of that, it will be those of us who 'know' these things which that "dragon" will especially be against, and come after. So be warned brethren, and do what Jesus showed us to do at the end, to not premeditate what we will speak in that 'hour' when we are delivered up to the beast, but allow The Holy Spirit to speak through us, giving the Witness for Jesus against them (See Mark 13).
