I think Friel is right about these kinds of stories. What about you?
These people who claim they saw Jesus have no proof, but what proof could there even be? Nobody knows what Jesus looks like, as no photos or videos exist.

If I saw what I thought was Jesus, I would not tell anyone, because that just brings attention to myself, makes me seem special, and makes others long for a similar experience. It also sells books.

The gospel is all we need to get close to the Savior.

Might Jesus make personal appearances to certain people? Do you consider it possible?

Much love!

How would you know for sure it was Jesus?

If you were absolutely certain, would you tell people about it?

What would the purpose be for Jesus to appear to someone?

After Christ was resurrected and ascended to heaven, only twice in scripture was He seen.

Martyr Stephen saw Jesus standing on the right hand of God.

Apostle Paul encountered Jesus as a bright blinding light and a voice.

John 20:29

Jesus said unto him, “Thomas, because thou hast seen Me, thou hast believed. Blessed are they that have not seen and yet have believed.”

Is that a 'no'?

There was another occasion, whether Jesus appeared to Paul (vision or otherwise) is not stated. It may be Paul sensed Jesus with him, or maybe Jesus appeared to Paul, I don't know.

Acts 23:11 KJV
And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.

Much love!

I am sure there are plenty of bogus claims. However, there are numerous Muslims who have been converted by a personal appearance of Jesus to them so it's not all bunk.

Do you want Jesus to appear to you?

How do you you think that would affect your life?

Do you believe the current stories about Jesus appearing to individuals?

How can you discern if a Jesus appearance story is true or false?

So you've got me really curious about why you are not answering my question. You've had a lot to say, but neither "yes" nor "no". That always makes me wonder.

To me, that's the starting point of such a discussion, do you think it's possible, or no?

Much love!

After Christ was resurrected and ascended to heaven, only twice in scripture was He seen.
Revelation 1:12-15 KJV
12) And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;
13) And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
14) His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
15) And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

Much love!

I have asked you several questions, but you do not answer them.

You asked me: “Might Jesus make personal appearances to certain people? Do you consider it possible?”

My answer: It might happen, but I do not know why Jesus would make a personal appearance to someone, except in cases where a person is a Muslim in an Islamic nation where Christianity is suppressed, or in a remote region of unreached peoples who have no access to the gospel.

I personally am not hoping for Jesus to make a personal appearance to me, for the scriptures and the Holy Spirit within me are enough.

Are you wanting Jesus to make a personal appearance to you? Why? How will you know for sure it is Jesus?

I have asked you several questions, but you do not answer them.
I posted an open question, not directed to anyone, and you replied a few times with a series of questions, but not answering mine. I don't mind answering any of your questions, I actually intend to, but since you responded to my post, I'm still looking for your answer . . . first.

So to be clear, yes, it is fully possible that Jesus could appear to someone, this is your view?

Much love!

How would you know for sure it was Jesus?

If you were absolutely certain, would you tell people about it?
I could only speculate on these. Regarding knowing, God has ways to give us certainty. One concrete example I can give was when the voice inside said "It will work now", about my defective garage door opener remote (had to monkey with it to make it work), and it has worked ever since. The fulfillment confirmed it was His voice.
What would the purpose be for Jesus to appear to someone?
Again, speculation only. God's ways are higher than mine, and I don't expect to understand things He does. My simple answer would be to build our faith.

Do you want Jesus to appear to you?
I want whatever it is God has intended for me.
How do you you think that would affect your life?
Speculations about hypotheticals. Who can say? I'd like to think my faith would be increased. To my understanding, we have received all spiritual blessings, and we need faith to walk in them.
Do you believe the current stories about Jesus appearing to individuals?
"The current stories", I don't know, that's a broad question. However, I believe the testimony of church member who shared that his brother, a Muslim city council member in the Sudan, all of them Muslim, he had a vision of Jesus and became a Christian. The next day was a council meeting. When he went, he learned they all had received the same vision, and all had become Christians. I have no reason to doubt this.
How can you discern if a Jesus appearance story is true or false?
Spiritual discernment comes from the Lord.

Much love!
