My broadband contract is coming to an end and I’m wanting to change to somewhere else. Is anyone on one of the social tariff broadbands, (due to being on some form of welfare benefits) and if so, who are you with and how do you find the service please? My mind is all dotty and fuzzy about who to go with next. I’m thinking BT / EE. (They’ve merged together). Thank you in advance.

I didn’t even know there were social tariff broadbands - might be difficult for many to give advice because not many here are in the U.K.
Best to first find out what is available in your area and what the signals are like- are you on Facebook and part of a local group, they can relay which ones they have and how good they are in the area.
We had major problems when we moved as there was an issue with the telephone line, in the end we had to go with virgin media as it came into the house separately, I pay about 40:00 a month. Sky was dearer, and so was BT. When you change though they do offer free broadband for three months.
You could check Online , they all list their deals and what they offer .

Hi Rita. Thanks for replying and your advice. I prayed for wisdom from the Lord about this dilemma. At first this morning I was going to ring back BT and ask them more about their social tariff rate. Then I spotted an email in my inbox from my current provider, (Talk Talk), with a good price offer. So because I have found their service good, including customer service, I decided to accept their “outbound offer”, as apparently it’s called. Interesting to know there are good deals offered to the customers who are heading out the exit door.

Yes , we got that with Sky but sadly it was a tech issue that no one could sort out and after two months without resolve we felt we had little choice but to go elsewhere.
Pleased you found a good solution x
