Are all faiths pathways to God, or are some unacceptable?
Jesus revealed the answer to us at Mat 7:13,14 which reads: 13 “Go in through the narrow gate, because broad is the gate and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are going in through it; 14 whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are finding it.
Likely this passage is easily understood, it is about salvation. I imagine that everyone knows that salvation is dependent upon worshipping God, and that those who reject Him can expect to be on the road leading off into destruction, although I quite imagine some will disagree with that. But the honest truth is that some will receive life, and most will not.
When Jesus used the word road, no doubt one would realize that there is no literal road that you can get on that will lead to life, rather he was talking about a faith, or religion. Most of us here would agree that the road would be the Christian faith, however there are literally thousands of sects, so does God accept all of these, some of these, or one of these? Jesus said that we have to worship God with spirit, and truth. Truth is God's word he said. I submit that those who are on the road to life, will in fact be worshipping God by living the faith, and teaching God's truths recorded in His word.
Would you say that God identifies this road?
