Thank youNot "in error". Any error revealed is repented of/ changed/ so as never to be in error ongoing, like your decisions continue to be. So, like me,
Repent (change) , come out of the error you have lived in for however long, or you cannot believe ANYTHING Jesus says in His Word.
If I ever talk to you in such a degrading way please bring it to my attention.your comprehension skills are suspect
What do you mean The Bereans would have gone home and checked those very scriptures? They were already in the synagogue where the scrolls are kept . They didn’t carry a Bible back and forth from home to church.
And then you quote the passage about the Thessalonians to prove your point when we aren’t even talking about them. You have me confused.
Is it fair to say that Paul and Silas read a passage from the OT and then told the Bereans how Jesus fulfilled that passage? Is that what you are saying?
You are right. It doesn’t matter if they were reading the scrolls at home. My point was you suggested they were. What you suggested is not in scripture. That’s the point.Either way, whether Paul and Silas were preaching from memory, or directly from the scrolls should make zero difference...the Bereans were being taught both from the scrolls and about the Gospel orally since nothing was written yet. The Bereans checked daily to see if those things Paul said were true. Who really cares if they were reading scrolls at home or at the synagogue, I wasn't there.
it’s the gospel that matters.
If the teachings of the false church from rome can be left behind, that would be good for everyone .....If I ever talk to you in such a degrading way please bring it to my attention.

Offered to God in payment for your sin, do I need to repost it for you,or will you acknowledge your error? You stated: If you think your righteous works offered to God for your sin is anything other than filthy rags, your sadly mistaken.
Jesus makes it clear that our works DO give us something in return. It gives us “salvation in heaven “
Yep he does, but no that’s not the gospel. That how we are sanctified, the gospel is the good news of a Jesus who saves us and gives us his spirit, in doing this, the capacity to love.Ask Jesus:
He says that what matters is loving God and loving your neighbor, and doing the will of the Father.
That's the Gospel. Your theology will not save you. Doing what Jesus says will save you.
Ekklesia in the New Testament, and in the Old Testament, can , and do, and did, do works, without expecting anything in return for the works - giving to a blind man, a disabled woman, a poor family, and so forth.Yes we do works for something in return
Thank ya trollIf the teachings of the false church from rome can be left behind, that would be good for everyone .....
You do realize, right, that rejecting Jesus as rome does, makes those who follow rome to be the sons of disobedience ?Thank ya troll
You are a very confusing person. On one hand you say we do works for something in return but then say I will fail if I try to be saved by works. I think you are saying we are not saved by works alone? If that is what you are saying I agree with you and I have never contested thatOffered to God in payment for your sin, do I need to repost it for you,or will you acknowledge your error?
please learn to read.
Yes we do works for something in return
gold silver precious stone, wood hay straw, crowns and other things
salvation is not one of them, salvation is by Grace Alone
your trying to be saved by works, you will fail, period
RabidYou do realize, right, that rejecting Jesus as rome does, makes those who follow rome to be the sons of disobedience ?
Not those who speak God's Word, revealing the truth.
And those who follow rome, instead of following Jesus, call the true followers of Jesus many names, including troll.... ?
Yep he does, but no that’s not the gospel.
A gospel is a declaration, when a governor would make an announcement, they would declare an euangelio of good news to his town.Perhaps you don't know what "gospel" means.
