Yes, we try our best but we are NOT saved by trying, we are saved ONLY by placing our faith/trust/belief in the death/burial/resurrection of Christ - Eph 1:13, 1 Cor 15:1-4.
Yes, we are redeemed by the blood of God's Lamb, sealed by Their Resident Spirit and while we are enduring to the end of our life we applying Their salvation and are saved. As James has said, faith without works are dead. Show me your faith without doing anything and I will show you my faith by the stuff I end up doing. I guess some of this stuff we do is fulfilling God's commandments.

Hey 12q thx for the response.
James - 1:1 to the 12 Tribes, James is Apostle to the 12 Tribes.
Rom 11:13, Rom 15:16 Paul is Apostle & Minister to the Gentiles
Paul teaches how believers TODAY should lead their life which THOUGH SAVED will be subject to rewards/loss 1 Cor 3:10-15, 2 Cor 5:10
Can you list where Paul teaches that entry into eternal life is conditional based on how a believer leads their life ?

Not off the top of my head. But God chooses who He wants to redeem to be kings and priests in Jesus Kingdom. Those He chooses He preserves til the end and we are saved and glorified ready for our new roles. Yay!

As far as we are concerned God's Spirit is responsible to transform us into Christ's likeness and image. I believe Paul refers to this as Christ's Spirit's work of sanctification.

I don't really place much confidence in us humans ability to carry out this task. But being IN CHRIST and the SPIRIT OF CHRIST IN US I have full confidence They will mould us into Their likeness.

No argument from me.
He chooses He preserves til the end and we are saved and glorified
GOD purposely chooses who wont be saved ?

Absolutely. He designed His plan, wrote His script and is carrying out His will. Choosing everything all the way along His never ending story. It's pretty simple.

Whenever I place the focus on us humans and our perceived or actual involvement in His story then things can get very confusing, very fast.

But to know the Creator is sovereign, exercising it as part of His nature, doing everything according to His will alone brings such deep peace and contentment.

We are who we are at the end of each day because our Creator has smcaused it to be so.

1 Timothy 2:4, where it states God "desires all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth".
Yet before conception CHOOSES who will not be saved ?

Absolutely! According to the purposes He has predetermined.

Rom 9:21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

Of course He does.

Some will be saved in this age to serve in Jesus's global government. Every single minister, king and priest have been chosen.

The rest haven't. They will be tried, judged and sentenced to go to the Lake of fire as John called it.

Yet Peter said, The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

And as you quoted, God "desires all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth".

Thus will be in a future age hey. This is absolutely amazing. I get excited when I meditate on this being fulfilled. The return of every prodigal angel along with ALL the judged humans. Yay!!!

Just making ABSOLUTELY sure we understand each other.
There's a difference :-
a. GOD knowing that a person won't be saved compared to
b. PURPOSELY selecting someone to NOT be saved.
Which belief is yours ?

ALL of God's created beings WILL be redeemed and reconciled to Him in a future age.

Before then, the same Creator has chosen some in this current age
to be saved from being judged and sentenced to spend time in the lake of fire so they can reign in Jesus's 1000 year kingdom on earth.

I hope this answers your question.

Are you refering to supportive verses from the bibles? These revelations could've been found in the scriptures but since we don't have access to them all I can't quote them. If Daniel, Paul and John could write everything down which they saw or heard then maybe I could quote them. But so much of God's expressed thoughts and revelation hasn't found itself in the limited, closed biblical canon.

Therefore God has chosen to reveal it to others in and through the members of the body of Christ.

But hey, if you want to limit your understanding of our Creator to the extremely limited source refered to as the bible then that's fine with me.

Let's take one step back here. The bible isn't ALL scripture. It contains some for sure.

So to claim that all that GOD chose for us to know is in Scripture today cannot be confirmed as we just don't have all the scriptures available.
But hey, if you want to limit your understanding of our Creator to the extremely limited source refered to as the bible then that's fine with me.

Paul actually disagrees with you here. Or should we say, God Himself does.

1Jn 2:27 But Christ has blessed you with the Holy Spirit. Now the Spirit stays in you, and you don't need any teachers. The Spirit is truthful and teaches you everything. So stay one in your heart with Christ, just as the Spirit has taught you to do.

So in light of this, would you agree that this statement is truth. Holy Spirit is the teacher and not some added twisted dogma nonsense from man

Let's take a faith step :-
Do you believe GOD is powerful enough to ensure the information He wants us to have is in the Bible we have today ?

I know GOD has been powerful enough to ensure His expressed thoughts have been revealed to us by His Spirit of Truth.

God has willed for the myriad of bibles to be with us to this very day. And counting. Just as He has willed that the myriad of denominations be with us to this very day. And counting.

In the Bible everyone has today

Yet ensured The Bible we have today to be the one He wants us to read.

Yes, the bibles, the denominations, the Quran, the Muslim faith along with every religion and their sacred writings. All are here because God planned for them to be here.

Even delusions. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
