Jonathan Falwell: We can't just pat them on the shoulder and say, 'Go live for Jesus'View the full article

That is why I have been trying to encourage Christians to study the Bible. There are far too many who knows very little of what the Bible says, and are easy victims of lies and clever sounding words by those who writes books and gives speaches under the bannor of Christianity. When one who claims to be a Christian and get their moral standard from the world it says a lot about that person.

Discipleship is meant to happen one on one from the spiritually mature to those in training, who are willing, but need to learn. Ultimately we all keep learning, but the more advanced teach the less.

We have made a system of mass teaching because we could not keep up with the demand, but by this we have watered down the message. If you mix the gospel with something else, it always ends up that the gospel part of the message dies and the 'other' becomes what is being built.

We need to return to a basic way of teaching... Forget Ph.D's, microphones, and go back to the way of Christ. He taught many, but more closely trained the twelve. As God works with us individually, so he works through us to individuals. How can we be known by our love if we take out the relationship and love that is between the disciples?
