This doesn't just happen. Are there others in your family that this has happened to?

Why do you think you are chosen to experience this?

That's very interesting. I've only personally known two people I've worked with, who astral project. One was a witch. The other I wasn't close to, so don't know what she was into, except to say she wasn't a Christian, and she needed "help" to "take off." Of course, those are into the dark arts. But there are also Christians that have gone to heaven. I see a lot of that on Sid Roth's It's Supernatural show.

How did you know to call them "watchers" like from the Book of Enoch. Or is that where you heard it?

The term watcher is not in the Bible, but in Genesis 6, there are angels who are called the sons of God. But those in that account are fallen angels. Job 1 has sons of God, meaning all angels, good and bad. The Book of Enoch (the first book, not the second) has the watchers, and they are good angels in that account.

I've found many books online, so I expect it is. My personal favorite that I believe should have been included in the New Testament is the Epistle of Barnabas (not to be confused with the Gospel of Barnaabas.) I like Lightfoot's translation the best of the E of B.

Good night. Nice chatting with you.

Gnostic books have no place in the Bible.

You're saying God failed preserve his word and that a lot of iotas have already been removed contradiction to him saying none would, meaning the teachings of God.

I planned to stay off and still plan to. This is going to be harder then I thought, but more the reason to unplug. But it is crazy since I was lurking here logged off and saw this conversation was responded to after so long. Because all day my mind has been on astral projection off and on for some reason. Probably for the last couple months now I have really felt a strong desire just to see Jesus face to face. It is like a longing that has just kept growing stronger. And it isn't a depression/suicide thing. But it has really been on my mind. I think because I have been scared about a lot of things going on in the world and it just would be comforting to just hear His voice. And lately, it has been hard to quiet my mind to hear God.

I tried to shake it from my mind today since it is New Years. I think I started off the new year ALRIGHT. But it is hard to take my thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ. I started thinking about astral projection again also. Literally a lot of the day. Why lurking here and seeing this may be a God thing. I was googling it and read so many frightening things, I thought today would be a good day to start the unplugging from internet awhile. Nights can be difficult to turn my mind off though. I got to unplug if I am going to start homeschooling my daughter soon and quiet my spirit. I have always had a longing to be in Christ's presence and I know I can anytime as a Christian. But I think I have been in sort of a searching/dry period again. A season of training. Because it is hard to just feel His comfort/presence as I usually can.

Astral Projecting seems like playing with fire. And some of the things I read were terrifying. I don't think I have to worry about it, because I have way too much anxiety to "let go" as I was reading about. But it would be for a wrong reason anyway, because I don't think I could see Christ this way. I know I will some day. Now I am trying not so much to remember my dreams anymore or overanalyze them. But it has been hard. I can't even control my actions in dreams much less astral peojecting. So not every door should be opened. But I have had some pretty "unorthodox thoughts" this last part of the year and beginning. Mandela effect/astral projection/overall research into end time signs. Like I have am addiction to being anxious.

So yes. Unplugging. I will. But prayer would be appreciated. I may have to just disable internet explorer for awhile on my phone. It helps to write my thoughts out, but I think a prayer journal would help more to quiet my thoughts and fears and hear God a bit better this new year. A fight is a good thing I guess. It usually means I did something right and getting attacked. I'm definitely doing plenty wrong too. I got to get on my thought life again. I want to be "present" with my daughter too fully.

Correction. You failed to read Daniel which presents certain angels as watchers.

I saw in the visions of my head upon my bed, and, behold, a watcher and an holy one came down from heaven (4:13)

This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men. (4:17)

And whereas the king saw a watcher and an holy one coming down from heaven, and saying, Hew the tree down, and destroy it; yet leave the stump of the roots thereof in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts of the field, till seven times pass over him; (4:23)

Thank you. No wonder the Book of Enoch was quoted in the New Testament.

Here's a really good verse to focus on (and the surrounding verses also...): Philippians 4.8. All those qualities mentioned in 4.8 are personified in the Lord Jesus Himself, if we follow through Scripture themes. (I like the hymn which says: '...The things of earth will grow strangely dim, In the light of His glory and grace.')

God's people are not to practice any of the so-called Black Arts. Astral projection is a term occultists use for actually exercising the psychic faculties in order to project one's spirit into the spiritual realm and commune with instructors (i.e., spirits) on the astral plane. It is not the same thing as a NDE (near death experience). The occultists will claim they do it to receive further mystical teachings from the hidden masters of wisdom, and speak of the Great White Brotherhood. In reality, those are the devil's servants in the spirit world.

An NDE can occur because of an accident, trauma or shock to the flesh body. In 2 Cor.12, Apostle Paul remarked of how he was "caught up" to Paradise, and whether he was in the body, or out of the body, he didn't know, but God knew. Most likely that was when he was once stoned and left for dead when having preached The Gospel among unbelieving Jews (Acts 14 I think).

So there's a difference between a knowingly practice of astral projection vs. an NDE from an accident.

That either is a possibility comes from how God created us for this present world. Ecclesiates 12:5-7 reveals there is a "silver cord" that links our flesh body with our spirit, and when it is severed then actual flesh death happens, our spirit going back to God. Because of this "silver cord" link our spirit is able to return to our flesh body with an NDE.

God set the bounds for this world, and each of us born in the flesh are here to make our choice to believe or not believe on His Son Jesus Christ, or as His elect to work directly for Him so others might also believe on Him during this world. When we have spiritual manifestations in our life it is by God's Hand, not ours. We have no need to do mystical exercises like the occultists do in trying steal heavenly works. God's works through us are in the name of Jesus Christ, not through psychic exercises, repetitious prayer, chants or mantras, or meditation practice.

There is no silver cord to our spirits.

Read the whole chapter. It's talking about when things come to an end by death, rot, breakage etc. It says remember God before that time comes and you die.
