anyway in QLD we had people sending such threats to the Premier all the time for 20 years and no one in the MSM gave a rats about such, because it goes with the Job description, so if you can not handle such threats you should not be in the position in fact. Ye the VN, VR, VS have huge body roll when you turn...
Mine had an aftermarket FE2 suspension kit, lowered and the 18" wheels. That made it handle heaps better.
The brakes were crap in the VN as well... But im comparing it to the WRX which isn't really a fair comparison when it comes to handling



I got busted driving unlicensed more than 5 times... Again and again... I needed to get to work and such... I was filthy at being sent to prison because its not a criminal offence and i have never intentionally hurt anyone before or stolen off anyone... Now many people will say "well you broke the law" but i don't buy that... I believe that prison should only be reserved for convicted criminals, petty little infringements of the law. Many of the guys in there were in for non-criminal offences and thats hard to swallow. Incarcerated without having committed a crime. Im still trying to get rid of this bitter taste that it left. Listening to other peoples sufferings helps ease the pain...

Pauls sufferings brings mine back into perspective. Mine were nothing compared to his.

The Brakes on them VN did not have asbestos and it took some years to get their act together on this product but by the time the VS came out the pad material was really good product for a std car. and sadly when Brakes were replaced they were fitted with a lower standard than original 9 times out of 10. well at least the 1995 on Holden were better than most were replaced with.
I bought a new 1993 XG Falcon ute and the brakes were 4 wheel disc but shocking total rubbish with brake fade, the pads were just rubbish from factory and I had a hell of a time pointing such out to people who worked in Brake company's, they were all morons, I just had arguments with them and got no were. I put a set of Bendix Metal King in and bingo magic ! I had powerful good brakes. ok they may chew the rotors out more but they will save your car or your life and the extra expense is worth every cent by far.
When I got the V8 VS I went to Bendix Ultimate and boy ! from 200KM/H to stop, the time to stop would be that of a normal car from 100KM/H to stop. yep they are that good.

I had Kay Mac sway bar on the front my V8 HG Premier and only on the rear of My HX 5.0L 4SP Sandman P Van.
I found the right shocks are a key point and with Commodore VC to VS you need at least 1 deg neg camber to 1.6 to stop the dreaded understeer, but VB V8's are spot on handling car. the Holden HZ and WB are spot on as well but when you get a wheel alinegment the majority of idiots have what is called a fix, and this fix is for morons, as it turns your HZ- WB into a HQ understeering pig.
One thing I found that was a class act was a strut brace, for high speed crappy roads, it's the steering input communication magic trick.
And as to my VY SS I put 4 Monroe GT-Gas Reflex in and hated them, I thought I would have to add a stronger sway bar full on, that's the difference that they made, I was going to get rid of them but I went out bush and found that on small corrugations this was magic, I could not believe it and getting into the real ruff stuff driving flat out, magic again so I kept them.
I think that they just beaded in after that real hard flogging and came good on the rest.
