25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, - Romans 16:25.

Did you know you can be a law unto yourself. Some do not understand how being a law unto themselves can keep them down in life. Law has a pull like gravity, it is a downward motivation. You are around people like that all the time, Christian people like that who are always a negative force you are always hiding from because simply put "their a drag." A drag because they will drag you down. I like what my buddy Don Byrd used to say about that "my ears are not trash cans, don't dump your junk on me." He didn't just say it he meant it because he would not listen to people that had the weight of the world on them and wanted to dump it on you.

It doesn't matter if they realize they do it or not it is happening and it is not up to you to have to listen. It doesn't matter anyway because what they say is just some sort of a vent and holds no validity in life, they just dump. The older I get the more I like to be around people that don't even talk, at least not much. There is something to be said about that at least in scripture. Pondering things in your heart, listening, slow to speak, the wise will listen.

Israel of old was like that, they had everything laid out for them. What to eat, when to worship, what to wear, how often to do it. How does a "law unto yourself" work? You can only eat this and not that. That may be a doctor order for you but you will push that on everyone else. It may be healthy in your opinion to do it but you will make a law out of it and everyone should be doing it. Always telling people what to do and not to do because they have all this junk in them they think is right. When all that is is a law unto themselves Paul said.

{I don't say alot in this area because I really don't concern with it but it strikes me as fascinating so! We have many denominations and ways if you will of believing as far as what that particular group believes and make a choice one way or another. So there are are many choices that is the point. On the other spectrum on a political side we have two choices and people are able to make a choice one way or another. What strikes me as fascinating is how the mind works. Point being how do you get so many people that can't agree on spiritual matters on one hand, but on the other you can get all the people to agree with two choices. I'm sure if we had 100s of political choices we could find one we like}

Point; the mind is a powerful entity and when focused and directed in the right way it is capable of just about anything in a good helpful healthy meaningful way. It becomes sound and stable, healthy, healing is the children's bread. Established is a word used over and over in scripture, we need the stability in this life of storms and tempests. Have you ever been on a boat Cruise, the big Cruise ship has stabilizers that keep it from rocking when it is in rough sea's. That is what it means for a Christian to be established, you are not rocked by ever storm that comes in life. Matter of fact it's quite the opposite, Christian's learn to use all life as growing into the very purpose of creation.

The OP is pretty much a bunch of malarkey, and abuse of Scripture!

Even in The New Testament, we are told about God per The New Covenant would put His laws in the hearts and minds of His people (Hebrews 8, read the WHOLE CHAPTER by Apostle Paul there!). How does He do that? By giving us The Holy Spirit as Guide.

In Galatians 5, Apostle Paul taught that IF... we walk by The Holy Spirit, then we won't be doing anything that is against the law, because doing the fruits of The Spirit against such there is no law...

Gal 5:18
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
KJV

Gal 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
KJV

That doesn't mean God's laws are dead under Christ, but that IF we stay in Christ, walking by The Holy Spirit, then 'we'... become dead to the law, because we won't be doing anything to break God's laws. It's as simple as that.

@soul man Reminds me of 1 Corinthians 15.58:

" Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord."

The Galatians 5 Scripture also means that IF... we instead follow the works of the flesh Paul listed there, instead of walking by The Holy Spirit, then... we place ourselves back under God's law which is for the sinner and ungodly per 1 Timothy 1.

That means God's laws are NOT dead under The New Covenant, but are very much still in effect, excepting the ordinances which Lord Jesus nailed to His cross per Col.2.

So understanding in God's Word about His laws, which shows what He approves of and what He doesn't, is a good thing to study, even under Christ Jesus. We simply are not saved by keeping them, that's all. We are saved only by Faith on Jesus Christ, by His Grace, a free gift we cannot earn.
