Speaking of which, last year in the U.S., ~20 people were killed by cows: trampled, gored, or mashed in close quarters. They were are in high-risk situations.

Wow. Australia might have the creepy crawlies like snakes and spiders but America has dangerous mammals
Fair enough, but the most dangerous North American mammals are deer and moose: collisions with vehicles kill over 400 and injure over 50,000 annually. Can we assume kangaroos and dingoes are not quite that dangerous for you?

Kangaroos are a problem

Only a few per year result in fatalities.
We should take into account that our population is only 25 million. It would be a lot higher if we had America's population

Kangaroos can and do work people over similar to what the bison did to this guy

It's always good to remain in your vehicle where one should have a large caliber firearm on hand just in case the animals get out of control. Sometimes ya gotta put them down or they'll put you down.

I'm at the top of the food chain as a human so I'm not going to get whipped by any animals.

That bison was not a happy camper. When he was furiously kicking up all of that dust, I'd be out of there.

That's the whole point - that's the Bision's home!

He's not there to camp and gawk at others like the tourists were doing.

Sorry to hear this old man got injured but the video is pretty hilarious when the guy got tossed up in the air like a rag doll laughing.gif

What about these animals...

Yeah so you know the answer already which is moose be just as dangerous as bison.

Here's the rule of thumb - any animal can attack humans, and one should stay in their vehicle when around the really big ones if possible, and one should be armed with large caliber fire arms (semi-automatic rifles with high capacity clips) so they can do something if things get really out of hand.

The best defence is to be not ignorant about what triggers bison and moose and to adhere to those warnings and respect the respective domains of these animals.
