Prayer and Praise are means of continuing to think on that which is of good report, even when we are in the worst of circumstances such as being in prison. Through Prayer, God begins to speak to us about our situation, and gives us a different perspective maybe we hadn't seen, and also revelation about His will in the circumstance. Through Praise, He increasingly inhabits the praises of His people, leading to the renewed fruit of the Spirit in our lives; Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness... They are two of the three primary means by which we continue to abide in Him, whereby the spirit of Fear does not overcome the Spirit of Love, Power and a Sound Mind. Abiding in the word and receiving revelation from Him is the third.
