I asked if there is a single verse that morally condemns prostitution, not prohibit the religious leaders daughters from being whores.
So you are saying that if you're not the daughter of a religious leader, it's perfectly fine to commit an act of abomination.... wow.

you are attempting to legitimize the solicitation of prostitutes using a set of criteria you invented.
Nope. I did not invent the 4 instances in Scripture where soliciting a prostitute were condoned (or allowed, if you are among the word play Marks of the world).

Correct. The Bible condones soliciting a prostitute via 4 examples and the sooner believers accept Biblical ambiguity, the better we’ll be able evangelize to unbelievers.

Our hypocrisy is seen by believers in claiming to know the truth while denying the truth of the ambiguity of our own holy book. That’s a common pathway to failing to reach people.

What do you make of cancel culture? Do you respect 60-40 splits in coming to a decision OR must you deny any and all legitimate claims that oppose your conclusion; there is no legitimate basis for the losing argument, the 40%? The evolution from the compromise position in our society of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell to demands, not of acceptance but cultural approval of sexual deviancy, is one powerful example of our times.
And now, you are attempting to pivot this conversation toward "cancel culture" and "societal splits" because you can no longer defend the idea that prostitution is biblical. Let’s be clear: calling the clear command for holiness "ambiguity" is not an act of evangelism; it is an act of compromise. The world is not attracted to a church that accepts "biblical ambiguity" regarding sin; the world is attracted to a church that is transformed by the power of God to live a life of purity. There is no "60-40 split" when it comes to the holiness of the believer—it is a 100% calling. To suggest that we should tolerate sexual deviancy in the name of "reaching unbelievers" is a fundamental misunderstanding of the Gospel. We reach the lost by showing them a better, holier way to live, not by lowering the standard of the Cross to match the standards of the culture. I am not interested in discussing "cancel culture"; I am interested in the truth of Scripture, and the truth is that God does not call us to ambiguity—He calls us to be holy as He is holy.

Nope. Not one little bit. If you deny the Biblical support for prostitution, that's on you. Keep it in mind as you fail in the great commission and unbelievers ask about ambiguity of the Bible.

Wrong. The 4 examples in the Bible of having sex with prostitutes are not clear commands for holiness. Too bad you're in denial.

Let me ask you this; can the Bible include text that seems to support sex with a prostitute AND call us to holiness? Yes or no.

The answer is yes—the Bible can certainly record the fact that people had sex with prostitutes while simultaneously commanding us to be holy. There is a massive difference between a description and a prescription.

The Bible describes many things that God hates. It describes murder, incest, and idolatry, but it never "supports" those things. Recording that a flawed man in a fallen world visited a prostitute is not the same as God endorsing prostitution as a biblical standard for His people.

Wrangler, you are trying to use the failures of biblical characters to justify your own appetite. That isn't a "logical" argument; it's a spiritual delusion. The record of sin in the Bible exists to show us our need for a Savior, not to give us a license to sin. Stop trying to find a "yes or no" loophole and start looking at the clear, unwavering call for the believer to be holy.

<Sigh> You’re denying the whole point of the thread! Condoning is way more than recording, and I think you know that.
Hey, let’s get this straight: Recording an event is not the same as endorsing it. The Bible is full of descriptions of sin, but it is not a manual for how to sin.

To claim that God "condones" prostitution simply because He doesn't stop every single instance of it in a narrative is a dangerous error. God's patience with a sinner is not the same as His approval of the sin. You are desperately searching for a "loophole" to make prostitution acceptable, but the Bible's overall message is clear: we are called to purity and holiness. Stop trying to twist stories of fallen men into "support" for a lifestyle that contradicts the heart of God. (I think you know that.)

There have now been 4 examples presented in this thread where having sex with a prostitute is condoned in the Bible.
Incorrect. That is a Non Sequitor.

Just because the narrative describes the activity it doesn't follow that the activity is condoned by God.

Jesus made it clear.
Even LOOKING upon a woman with lust is adultery.
Prostitution is sin.
PARTICIPATION in prostitution is sin.
It involves both adultery AND fornication: BOTH are prohibited and condemned by God in Scripture.
Do not be deceived. God is not mocked. Whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap.
Can a man take coals into his bosom and not be burned?
Thou shalt not be joined unto an harlot.

We’ve already discussed tacit approval. Even @marks admits it was allowed in the Bible.
I don't care who agrees with you.
God is not some mamby pamby fool who silently allows someone to flagrantly violate His law.
SCRIPTURE, and by definition, GOD has condemned that depraved practice.

So you say. Just because you’re offended doesn’t make you right.

The question of the thread has nothing to do with God’s law; the question is about the evidence in the Bible where having sex with a prostitute is condoned or allowed.

I am not offended even though I find you offensive. God is offended because you are blasphemously accusing Him of evil.
I am telling you that God does NOT condone depravity.
Why did Christ die?
