Hey ya'll - I am doing some research for a two person bible study. I need ya'lls help. Here's my question. When you think of the word BLESSING what comes to mind? How to be a BLESSING and how are you BLESSED? Thank you all for your help on this.

The best interpretation of what it means to be blessed or a blessing that I have heard so far is when God looks down and smiles upon you. Probably one of the best places to look to see how to be blessed or what it looks like is in the beatitudes (Matthew 5)
It shows what kind of characteristics God is looking for in His children...
If a person wants to strive to be like Jesus then that is the place to start!!
So that is just what comes to mind with that...Oh and I just remembered something. I was reading in Isaiah and God says something that is incredibly encouraging. In Isaiah 66:1-2, God tells Isaiah that it's the ones who are humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at His word. Does that sound familiar? The beatitudes say the same thing, Blessed are the humble or poor in spirit. :)
So, those are two places to look to if you want to know about being blessed and what it means/looks like....Matthew chapter 5 and Isaiah chapter 66....hope this helps you.
