Hi Poppin,
I am reading two books at the moment. One is called "Power from on High" by Charles Finney which I have had for some time but have not really got to read properly or at a leisurely pace.

The other book [which I have not read yet but have also had for some time] is called "Good Morning Holy Spirit" by Benny Hinn. Some folk have tried to dissuade me from reading this one because of his exhibitionist type stage presence but I am going to do it as a matter of comparison between the two. I am confident enough as a born-again believer with the HS dwelling in me, to be able to define clearly between the man speaking and the Spirit's prompting, within the context of their personal encounters and revelation as the Lord had led them

I'm kinda excited about the direction God is leading me into and hope to gain much insight into the lives of these two very prominent believers who lived two vastly different lives and at different periods of time... ^_^

Bless ya!

The Hammer of God
Bo Giertz

In this bestselling novel, three pastors learn the necessity of relying on God's grace. They fall short of their pastoral duties through public humiliation, self-doubt, inability to accept God's promises in their own lives, and divisions and quarreling among their parishioners. Ultimately each man rejects temptations and permits the Holy Spirit to work through him. This revised edition includes the final chapter, never before published in English. The new introduction provides historical and theological background to deepen the reader's understanding of the stories.
