I'm only fluent in English and definitely not a fan of Latin, so I'm not surprised that I've never heard this. In the Catholic Church very few understood Latin and I see such things as intentional separation made between the priesthood and laity (another way to elevate the priesthood and prevent the laity from knowing God.)

@michaelvpardo Sometimes it's sung in Latin and sometimes in English. Good that there are English subtitles in some versions on the Web....
