Haha Yousician is probably the best thing out there to ***start off with*** to learn to play piano, guitar, etc. I meant to tell @Mayflower that too and I completely forgot.

It's like Guitar Hero except you're actually learning and you're not wasting time. Playing an instrument exercises every part of the brain, too, which was part of my motivation.

It looks like this and then you hit the right notes and it lights up and you get a cool score and everything! Poetry is awesome! I quit writing about 4-5 years ago and never looked back on purpose, but I like other people's stuff.

Hmmmm, you took a break from poetry huh? Yeah, I did that for a while too...I had a poetry blog with a few hundred poems...and I started going down the wrong path and just deleted my account...and all the writings with it.

Sometimes I wish I still had the material to take from, but then again I don't look at it as lost...it just flows back to the source, where it may be tapped again.

yeah i got sucker punched in the heart and blocked it all out and learned to never open up myself that way again and keep to myself. on the bright side, i ended up creatively blocked forever but the other side of my brain took over and now i can solve a Sudoku puzzle and figure out some math. wow! losing hundreds sounds hard. thanks, tone:) have a goodnight

I don't believe that you are creatively blocked forever though...not even close.

Yeah, I believe that creative stuff is never really lost, though it may change form...kinda like that law of energy...thing...

I've never been disciplined with writing, it's just been sporadic and my poetry (if it can be called that) is raw, and I rarely edit it.

I actually just started up again and I really want to go lyrical with it and put it to music! I also started to write a story, which I've been slacking off, but I believe that everything has to do with each other...it's all part of that creative organ...if that makes any sense.

Are you open to sharing any of your poetry, per chance?

Hehe. I deleted all of mine, too. I went through a purge of getting rid of things, but I have some of my painting stuff. I was probably 22 in this picture, pre-anabaptist, pastels in the background.

Then later I couldn't do pastels because of limited space so moved onto digital.. (Which was hard.) These are probably all around 2014.

that one was influenced by "something." there is a heart and a name of someone i hadn't met yet written in the lightning. that was an experience

You could google what to do if someone threatens suicide. There's a hotline you can talk to people about what to do. I believe there are steps you should take. And it sounds like they have a plan made to commit suicide.

thanks! I will have to get more details but i know he is in a home there are already professionals working with him. i think they already know. i texted him but i think he is avoiding me out of guilt. i am one of the few people he doesn't want to disappoint.

thank you! i appreciate it. i will bug him at least once again later. i am hoping its a side effect of withdrawing from adhd meds and he comes out of it

Yeah, but don't laugh at my stuff there, ha ha...it's all very rudimentary...

That's why I'm pursuing my hobbies though, so I can add some flair...

If I can make my poetry and music pop like your artwork...I'll be alright!
