I've asked TJ a WILLFUL SIN question, I wonder if TJ will be brave enough to take on the challenge :)know that you are conversing with a JW there. (tazzjazz)
When God saves you, then begins the sanctification process of cleaning up your life.I don't see any difference at all. I agree.
I try very hard not to. But I am imperfect. I certainly don't make a practice of wicked behavior. Are you claiming you no longer willfully sin ?
How would you know I was honest? Why would you trust my answer?Want to take a simple test to find out ?
""I certainly don't make a practice of wicked behavior.""I try very hard not to. But I am imperfect. I certainly don't make a practice of wicked behavior.

Galatians 5""I certainly don't make a practice of wicked behavior.""
Frequency determines WILLFUL or not ?
and the type of sin is also a factor ?
eg little white lie every now & then does not = "wicked behavior"
Prov 12:22 Lying lips are abomination to the LORD
Acts 9:15, Gal 2:7-9, Rom 11:13, Rom 15:16Galatians 5
19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: [d]adultery, [e]fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, [f]murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 [g]gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

If someone 'practices such things' that show their conscience is seared, they have no feeling for their faults, sins, transgressions
That does show also willfulness to continue on doing such things unrelentingly. They are not being convicted in their hearts.
Paul tells us the unsaved are like this.

Ephesians 4
17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as [f]the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind,
18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart;
19 who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
20 But you have not so learned Christ, 21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

The Parable of the Unforgiving Servant
Matthew 18:21-22
Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.

Bible Gateway passage: 2 Peter 1 - New King James Version
Greeting the Faithful - Simon Peter, a bondservant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power...www.biblegateway.com
To those who have [a]obtained like[b] precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ:
2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the [c]corruption that is in the world through lust.
Fruitful Growth in the Faith
5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control [d]perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. 8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither [e]barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.
10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; 11 for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Our sins are forgiven us. They are no longer remembered or come into God's mind.Acts 9:15, Gal 2:7-9, Rom 11:13, Rom 15:16
Matthew is not my Apostle nor my Minister, Paul is.
Gal 1:11-12, 1 Cor 15:1-4, Eph 1:13 is the Gospel that teaches how we are saved today.
Our 'performance' conditions are :-
Titus 3:5-7
Eph 2:8-9
Gal 2:16
Rom 3:28
Rom 4:5
Rom 5:1
Do you claim you no longer sin willfully or otherwise ?
If yes, are you game enough to test that claim ?![]()
SD said > ""9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God?""Our sins are forgiven us. They are no longer remembered or come into God's mind.
In this New Covenant we have no sin.
If there was still sin then that brings death
So the sins we do all kill us, which is our physical body.
Our spirit though is joined to the Lord and does not sin and has eternal life

Bible Gateway passage: 1 Corinthians 6 - New King James Version
Do Not Sue the Brethren - Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints? Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Do you not know...www.biblegateway.com
9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor [b]homosexuals, nor [c]sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were [d]sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.
Glorify God in Body and Spirit
12 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not [e]helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of [f]any. 13 Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14 And God both raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power.
15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! 16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.” 17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
18 Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body [g]and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Bible Gateway passage: 1 John 3 - New King James Version
The Command to Love - Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that...www.biblegateway.com
Sin and the Child of God
4 Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. 5 And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. 6 Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.
7 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. 8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.
People who claim to be brothers in the faith but they do not know God and Christ. So they do not walk in faith do they.SD said > ""9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God?""
next verses :)
1 Cor 6:11And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus
and how did that happen ?
1 Cor 15:1-4, Eph 1:13 << saved AND sealed :)
People who claim to be brothers in the faith but they do not know God and Christ. So they do not walk in faith do they.
Paul calls such people evil persons, and say not to even eat with such a one.
Such are in the churches even today
1 Cor 15
33 Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.” 34 Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.
2 Peter 2
But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction [a]does not slumber.
Jude
3 Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. 4 For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord [b]God and our Lord Jesus Christ.
Old and New Apostates
5 But I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe. 6 And the angels who did not keep their [c]proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; 7 as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the [d]vengeance of eternal fire.
8 Likewise also these dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of [e]dignitaries. 9 Yet Michael the archangel, in [f]contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!” 10 But these speak evil of whatever they do not know; and whatever they know naturally, like brute beasts, in these things they corrupt themselves. 11 Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, have run greedily in the error of Balaam for profit, and perished in the rebellion of Korah.
Apostates Depraved and Doomed
12 These are [g]spots in your love feasts, while they feast with you without fear, serving only themselves. They are clouds without water, carried [h]about by the winds; late autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots; 13 raging waves of the sea, foaming up their own shame; wandering stars for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.
14 Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, 15 to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.”
Apostates Predicted
16 These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage. 17 But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: 18 how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. 19 These are [i]sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.
Maintain Your Life with God
20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
22 And on some have compassion, [j]making a distinction; 23 but others save [k]with fear, pulling them out of the [l]fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.
Fortunately Christ through Paul Gal 1:11-12, 1 Cor 15:1-4, Eph 1:13, Eph 4:30 teaches we ARE saved & sealed once we place our belief in the 1 Cor 15:1-4 gospel to do just that.I am a bit late to this thread but this was true when he said it and it is still true now
“There is no saint without a past, no sinner without a future.” Augustine
If this were not so then none of us would have been saved.
Your assumption is inaccurate. People sealed by the Holy Spirit and joined to the Lord as one spirit with Him, don't get unsavedPlease list the verses where Christ THROUGH Paul teaches a believer 'today' saved & sealed by the 1 Cor 15:1-4, Eph 1:13, Eph 4:30 Gospel can become UNsaved, UNsealed.
Just the verses FROM Paul SB, can you do that ? :)

Hebrews 7
19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did, by which we draw nigh unto God.
20 And inasmuch as it was not without an oath that He was made priest
21 (for those priests were made without an oath, but He with an oath by Him who said unto Him: “The Lord swore and will not repent, ‘Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.’”),
22 by so much more was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.
23 And those priests truly were many, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death;
24 but this Man, because He continueth forever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
25 Therefore He is able also to save to the uttermost those who come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them.
Your also throwing out half the NT scriptures by believing only Paul preached the true gospel and only Paul wrote it down.
The Spirit of God wrote all the books in the bible.
