We talked about the kenosis of a believer. The kenosis that comes to a believer is; Christ kenosis! The kenosis that Christ went through, or the kenosis you see that Christ went through. In the mind of Christ is the kenosis Christ went through. The mind of Christ kenosis!
We ask for and want to receive the mind of Christ. What do we believe is in the mind of Christ. We have the God mentality, or the God complex from the old nature. So in that is it possible for the idea - that in the mind of Christ; we think we are going to think like God - be a God thinker. Now what does that mean? Does it mean believers come to think and portrait more of Godly characteristics. We maybe we could say that in some way.
But what we see in scripture about the mind of Christ as seen in Jesus humanity was; he humbled himself. He became as us, as a human being in body, with all the mind, will, and emotions of a human being, soulish. Now that thought can go off the rails quick if you do not understand Jesus humanity. He was God in human flesh. Jesus was made in the likeness of man in body soul and had God Spirit if you will. Jesus Christ is God. Although God was His Father - he became as us. He had a soul/mind - that soul became humble..of no reputation.. obedient even to death (on the cross), he as us. In that; in soul he had to become all the things in the scripture, that it said he is. He is still those things in you and to you. Jesus' is your pattern in life for living a life that knows how to live and express life as designed by our Father.
Jesus' made himself of no reputation. I don't say much about the behind the scenes of what I have seen in ministry, as well as life. I don't feel it is necessary to shed light on what man is capable of. Most of us know because - we are human. So we don't need someone to tell you what happens in life. Plenty of media for that. But I do want to say because of the article - a lot of what you see is not what you would picture "Christ kenosis," would mean to an individual.
When I was working in a particular out-reach. They did a good work, and helped a lot of people. But what I saw just didn't set right with me. I didn't know what it was but it was like being grieved in spirit. I was still looking for that one life expression that fit humanity, if that makes since. Looking for Christian expression - it can be easy to keep yourself from living a certain lifestyle (in sin), and that's good. But that may not necessarily be Christ expression. And that is what human beings crave - the deep hunger in believers is for the life in them to be expressed - Christ life expressed. We want Jesus - we want to see Jesus. Someone that can know, love, and minister life to others. We want love and peace and joy - but I can't even love my neighbor or my brother, unless they line up with the lastest theology!
For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. - Romans 8:19.
