Things that are in the seed:
Life--And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. - 1 John 5:11.
Underline the words 'and this life is in the Son.'
Spirit--But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. - Romans 8:9.
Underline the words 'Spirit of Christ.'
Nature--Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. - 2 Peter 1:4.

These are things the scriptures say are in the seed of God.
The seed is: The Christ life-The Christ Spirit-The Christ nature.
These 3 all have a different connotation (I believe that is the word I'm looking for), but what it means is Christ is all these things in the believer. So that narrows it down or should say pin points who and what your life is! When you can stand and say "Christ is my only life" that is where you find that. To further expound on that "we should have that type of language" because Christ is the only life you can find in scripture. Life-life, there is a death-life (in Adam) but that is what the cross did to believers! It brought them out of Adam. Adam is dead nailed to that cursed tree. It brought them out of death life (sin-Satan death-nature-life), and now they have a new nature-life-Christ-spirit-joined unto the Lord life-one spirit-life-salvation-nature.
With all that said "believers have no life of their own and never have." One of the biggest tricks of the enemy on a believer is; thinking they have a life of their own. Sin does not stand up and say to you "hey it's me in you that makes you you." It does not have to say that because it already has you. When you have a life of your own that is what you are working on! that old sin of a mess separation death of a disaster that didn't work the first time, as far as being life-life. If the cross did not take care of it (Adam) what pray tell will.
