Dr. David Barton is more of ahistorian than a Biblical speaker, but very famous for his knowledge of historical facts as well as Biblical truths.

Dr. David Barton - on Obama
Respect the
Office? Yes.
Respect the Man in the Office? No, I am sorry to say.

I have noted that many elected officials, both Democrats and Republicans, called upon America to unite behind Obama.
Well, I want to make it clear to all who will listen that I AM NOT uniting behind Obama !

I will respect the Office which he holds, and I will acknowledge his abilities as an orator and wordsmith and pray for him, BUT that is it.
I have begun today to see what I can do to make sure that he is a one-term President !

Why am I doing this ?
It is because:

- I do not share Obama's vision or value system for America ;

- I do not share his Abortion beliefs;
- I do not share his radical Marxist's concept of re-distributing wealth;
- I do not share his stated views on raising taxes on those who make $150,000+ (the ceiling has been changed three times since August);
- I do not share his view that America is Arrogant;
- I do not share his view that America is not a Christian Nation;
- I do not share his view that the military should be reduced by 25%;
- I do not share his view of amnesty and giving more to illegals than our American Citizens who need help;
- I do not share his views on homosexuality and his definition of marriage;
- I do not share his views that Radical Islam is our friend and Israel is our enemy who should give up any land;

- I do not share his spiritual beliefs (at least the ones he has made public);

- I do not share his
beliefs on how to re-work the healthcare system in America ;

- I do not share his Strategic views of the Middle East ; and
- I certainly do not share his plan to sit down with terrorist regimes such as Iran ..
Bottom line: my America is vastly different from Obama's, and I have a higher obligation to my Country and my GOD to do what is Right !
For eight (8) years, the Liberals in our Society, led by numerous entertainers who would have no platform and no real credibility but for their celebrity status, have attacked President Bush, his family, and his spiritual beliefs !

They have not moved toward the center in their beliefs and their philosophies, and they never came together nor compromised their personal beliefs for the betterment of our Country!
They have portrayed my America as a land where everything is tolerated except being intolerant !
They have been a vocal and irreverent minority for years !
They have mocked and attacked the very core values so important to the founding and growth of our Country !
They have made every effort to remove the name of GOD or Jesus Christ from our Society !
They have challenged capital punishment, the right to
bear firearms, and the most basic principles of our criminal code !
They have attacked one of the most fundamental of all Freedoms, the right of free speech !

Unite behind Obama? Never ! ! !
I am sure many of you who read this think that I am going overboard, but I refuse to retreat one more inch in favor of those whom I believe are the embodiment of Evil!
PRESIDENT BUSH made many mistakes during his Presidency, and I am not sure how history will judge him. However, I believe that he weighed his decisions in light of the long established Judeo-Christian principles of our Founding Fathers!!!

Majority rules in America , and I will honor the concept; however, I will fight with all of my power to be a voice in opposition to Obama and his "goals for America ."
I am going to be a thorn in the side of those who, if left unchecked, will destroy our Country ! ! Any more compromise is more defeat !

I pray that the results of this election will wake up many who have sat on the sidelines and allowed the Socialist-Marxist anti-GOD crowd to slowly change so much of what has been good in America !

"Error of Opinion may be tolerated where Reason is left free to combat it." - Thomas Jefferson
GOD bless you and GOD bless our Country ! ! !

Thanks for your time, be safe.

I've been familiar with David Barton for some time. He says it pretty well how I feel. I respect the office of the president. Obama is not my president.

The two biggest differences between Obama and Bush is the shade of their skin and the target audience of their rhetoric (for election purposes). Functionally, they are almost identical.

I am a Libertarian, I look at both sides of a situation and form my opinion for what I think is best. While I do not favor Republicans over Democrats, nor Democrats over Republicans, I have NO agreements with Obama! Bush was a man who made many mistakes, and honestly I do not think of him as a good man either, but Obama (to me) is WAY worse of a man. People who defend Obama by pointing the finger at Bush, need to get over it. Obama is president now, and he needs to take responsibility for what's happening and what he's doing/not doing, and not allowing his Obama zombie supporters always pointing the finger! I agree, Bush was not a good President. Neither was Clinton! And Obama is DEFINITLEY the WORSE! How's past presidents being bad/good going to change the fact that Obama is an evil, anti-America punk?! Liberals only arguements are pulling discrimination cards and a bunch of WAH WAH WAH's, and many conservatives have been sitting on their butts, with their mouths shut, allowing Liberals to pull their crap.

For me, trying to name anything good about Obama is like me trying to name something good about Satan. Well.. Satan was an artist, he use to be the most beautiful angel, and supposedly where he lives is always warm. Obama is known to throw good parties and owns his own personal, untraceable, blackberry. I cannot even think of a third thing in Obama's favor, and is being known to throw good parties, and being a party animal, even a good reputation for a President?

We have an enemy of our Country as its' leader.

And Robster - to not agree with the President, does not mean you do not pray for him. Many prayers are needed for this man, but I do not agree with him on anything, I do not like anything that has been known about him, and I want him OUT of the office along with all the other crooks (Democrats AND Republicans!)

I agree with you, this man has backed down on many of his campaign promises, having an open, accountable government is a major backdown to me. Too many closed doors in the White House and Capitol Hill. The attitude that Americans are dummies is another one. We do not need a leader who seems to think it is his job to apologize for America. I thought it repulsive the way Isreal's Prime Minister was treated in the White House. Like you Christians do pray for this man even though we do not agree with his policies. We do respect the Office, even though we do not approve of what goes on in there. Thank You and God Bless You.

Democrats/Liberals/Far Left are known to put Americans down, to compare Americans to other countries. If America's greatness was known around the world, every country would want to be like us, and the people in control in those countries would lose their power. So now Americans have to be dumbed down, put down, - so Democrats/Liberals/Far Left can push their socialist/communist ideas and people will be like "Oh yeah!! That is way better because here in America. people are evil, hateful, stupid, and unfriendly to Earth!!"

No. lol There are smart people everywhere in the world, there are dumb people everywhere in the world, but in America you have the chance to learn how to think for yourself and not be taught what to think. Although, the Liberals have been controlling the school systems for quite some time, and many students all over America have been indoctrinated without even knowing it.. So sad how people want America to conform to other countries. I fear the day that some generations from now, there is a possibility that my children's children's children (HAHA IF THAT EVER HAPPENS!!!) may not have a chance at having a free mind, a free spirit.

I'll always be opinionated, speak my mind, and while other people are complaining "I'm just going to move to another country!!", I'm going to say "I'm staying here to fight for mine!!"

In the Old Testament, the Isrealites were warned that once they got to the land God promised them, they were to get rid of the people that were living there, for if they didn't the Isrealites and their children would be corrupted and turn away from God.

Here in America, while I most certainly agree with everyone having their freedom of Religion (people have to make their own decisions), we allowed them to corrupt us and our Children and now we are the only ones who are forced to feel like we can't be proud of our God, for it's offensive.. And we are shown to be idiots on tv and in movies, and put down everywhere on the news. Hm.. so Democracy and Christianity are both being dumbed down and trying to be taken away. I WONDER WHY!!

I'll always defend America, but what's going to happen is out of my control - and the only thing I can do is try to be a good example and help the people around me that want to be helped. And also to continue loving and serving God. I pray for myself and for everyone around the whole world, but people will go down the paths their choices lead them and things beyond my control are going to happen how they're suppose to.

I am also a Libertarian. The reason I dumped membership in a major party is because the Republicans and Democrats are two heads of the same snake.
IMO it makes no difference who sits in the White House.
Bush may or may not have been the inept bungler that many suppose and Obama may or may not be the devil that he is accused of being.
Both are the lackeys of the military industrial complex and are NOT as powerful as Americans assume they may be.

For example, Obama was elected on the premise that he would end the war in the middle east. He did not because he could not. If the president goes against the military's wishes he'll end up with a sniper's bullet in his brain.

Fear not dear reader. Whatever your feelings about Mr. Obama, he will not succeed in being reelected.
1. Watch the November general elections. Indications already point to a massive Democratic loss.
2 The economy is still in the midst of a depression (definition=2 or more years of recession) despite the words of government 'experts' who lie about it. Disaffected voters of all racial persuasions now feel the pinch and will vote accordingly.
3 The war drags on and despite the opinion of 'experts' is the major cause of our economic problems.
Despite false patriotic rhetoric, the war will continue until America loses the war.
The loss will take the form of an 'honorable withdrawal' similar to Viet Nam.
3. Watch for runaway inflation. If it does not happen before the next presidential election, it will happen shortly thereafter - affecting the next Republican president (who will also be a one term president).

The people of the United States will not repent of their rebellion against God. As a result, God will visit judgment upon us. Every Christian alive today feels that it will come, that it must come.

IF GOD ALLOWS THE SIN OF AMERICA TO ENDURE, HE WILL OWE SODOM AND GOMORRAH AN APOLOGY.

The Lord will strive with a greater effort to call His people to Holiness; a clean heart and a clear mind before Him.
The call will be similar to a national revival although without the press and circus atmosphere of the old tent meeting days.

This message will pass among those called by His name;
"...To-day if ye shall hear his voice, Harden not your hearts." Heb 4:7b

I pray for our leaders daily but then again I pray for my enemies.

Though we are bound by our laws, what is great about America is that we can CHANGE our laws.
biggrin.gif

What is so disconcerting is how this Administration ignores the law and since the Wilson Administration we (Government) NO LONGER consider the Constitution as the final authority (Not to mention, they seem to overlook the fact that the Authority comes from the Creator).

1. Barack Obama is not the problem.

2. The people who voted for him are the problem.

3. They put him there. Nobody else did.

4. The people who voted for him have a problem.

5. They have the feeling people should turn to government for every little problem.

6. Because of that you end up with a bigger problem. Big government.

7. The left has always liked big government.

8. The right has always liked a small government and a big God.

Upon the subject of the disolution of the American constitution I have no disagreement. The document is no more than an historical artifact at this point in time.

I disagree in principle with your statement that we have the ability to change our laws. There remains the appearance that we can do so, but evidence seems to indicate that the judical branch is busy rewriting/reinterpreting our laws just as fast as we make them (and law making is neither quick nor easy). For example, the "laws" governing abortion and gay rights were all either decided directly by the courts or established as precedent by them. No body of law makers can change any of the rulings regardless of the popular opinion. None of these issues were ever really decided by vote either popular or representative. It therefore remains a mystery to me why folks constantly go on about this adminstration or that administration when it is historically obvious that none of them is really in control.

Which brings me to apparent agreement with your remark about the history of things in this country since the beginning of the twentieth century.
(I can't believe I agree with you on something - shall the earth ever cease from trembling at the shock?)
As a nation we began to deny God's lordship near the end of the 1800's with the rise of Darwin and modern atheism.
It's getting worse as militant atheism gains influence.

I no longer pray for our leaders.
Instead I pray daily that Our Lord will hold in the palm of His hand all those who are called by His name.

I prefer to pray for a living body rather than a dead one.

Les:

I have very few hero's in my Life. Ronald Reagan is one of them. At first he was not , until I saw the core and character of the man. Ronald is one of those men we have to study for a lot of years to really understand what he tried to do in a few years.

It is my opinion that The creator destined him to be who he was , and when he was, I say that very carefully. Guy's like him do not come by random chance.

I have always leaned heavily on the knowledge that many Americans share the same core and character of Reagan. I always assume the Creator has his fingers in these things.

There remains only one powerful country in the world that retains some decent moral fiber. It is far from perfect , but is still the best there is.
