I heard on the radio today that only 30 percent of the people who celebrate Christmas actually believe in Jesus.

I believe it. It's SantaClausMas.

Or ReceivingStuffMas.

We need Linus to tell us the real meaning of Christmas again.
Is linus the one who sits around waiting for the great pumpkin?

Yes. But he also believes that Christmas is about the baby Jesus coming into the world. He quotes scripture and everything. That episode would play every year on national television. Wonder if that could still be done now.

Charles M. Schultz was awesome. :)

Out of curiosity, do any of the non U.S. citizens know of the Peanut comic strips and cartoons that use to regularly air on TV on holidays only ? They were called "specials".

And do any of you non Americans know of the episode of which I speak ?

:)

PS

And Pelaides, the Great Pumpkin never comes.

30% I am suprised it is that high. Few will recieve Jesus as Lord and acept the word as truth.

I think they would ban or censor that episode, they dont want to offend the heathen.Look what happened to the guy on "duck dynasty"

The great pumpkin does come one month late,as pumpkin pie,on your thanksgiving table.

Its going to get worse.

a lot more people believe in Jesus when they are being thrown about in a tornado or burning to death in a firery car crash or being bombed during world war one and two.. people take note of what the bible said then .. all of a sudden its very important

yet when they dont think they need Jesus when they think every thing is going good WITHOUT HIM is when they forget about him..

do ya think God thinks we need more firery car crashes? just something i wonder about ..
if we do--- its not because God does not love us ------------just the opposite..

Gods ways are not our ways he often brings us to hell to save us
and brings us to death in order to give us eternal life..

I read a lot of "Let's put Jesus back into Christmas"

I have to ask "was he ever in Christmas?"

Remembering my dad a non-christian getting very angry when I still lived with them and suddenly not wanting to help decorating the tree anymore.

He took it really serious with that one.

Well it is no longer referred to as the mass of Christ for one.

But it was never really about Yeshua. It was about getting the heathens into the church during their normal festival time of the year.

Like Easter.

Early Christians didn't even recognise it. Especially when they knew Yeshua was born around September/October depending on the year.

The day Dec 25 celebration goes back to ancient Babylon and their sun god pagan worship..it has nothing to do with the birth of Jesus, as it originated some 800 years before His birth..Jesus was not born in Dec, but Sept probably by Biblical accounts...the tree decoration read Jeremiah 10 where GOD forbids this activity

Christmas belongs to the retail industry...... Wal-Mart sets Christmas décor and sales in September... It hasn't been about Christ in quite some time. Sad really. I remember when I was young and staring for hours at my mothers nativity scene she set on the fireplace every year. You see less and less of that. Where I struggle the most is with Santa Clause. I feel the whole concept completely takes it away from Christ. You stand in line for hours so your kid can tell Santa what they want for Christmas. ( I wont deny its a great tool to find out what they want for the parents) But, trying to tell my kids where Santa falls in with the birth of Christ is seemingly difficult. Good news is, my two oldest figured out Santa wasn't real, or at least they are skeptic.... Next question... Is it simply coincidence that Santa has all the letters it needs to be Satan? Santa Clause---- Satan Claws Just sayn....... Merry Christmas everyone.

God Bless!!!!

I don't celebrate Christmas. In name only, does it have anything to do with Jesus.

Not anymore, it doesn't, at least to 70 percent of people it doesn't. I celebrate Christmas.... but even though I know full well it's not the accurate time of year, I still try to focus on the true meaning...

Christmas has nothing really to do with Yeshua.

It was created to supersede a heretical holiday for a Christian one. Just like Easter, Candlemas and other such days.

Day set aside in the Catholic church for consecration of candles. The old heritical holiday of imbolc it replaced.

Just like St. Valentines replaced luprachalia.

Many holidays were placed over heritical ones to convert them.

It's the mixing of the righteous with the unrighteous, a direct violation of what the King said. But they did it because they did not follow the King but rather trusted to their old wine.
