Decrease Your Time Spent in Dentist Chair !

I have in my ahem "old age " lol , found out a preventive to tartar build up on your teeth that must be scraped and pried off of your teeth with a sharp instrument with much leverage applied , no fun indeed !
You must FLOSS your teeth at least once a day . I use a flosser with a handle .
Before I finally started flossing everyday I used to sit and the dental hygienist would spend 30 minutes or more scrapping and prying on my teeth .
I have been flossing everyday now for quite a few years and a finally for the first time in about 5 years went to get my teeth cleaned . I expected the usual 30 minutes of ouch but instead it was maybe 2 minutes , I was shocked to say the least .

I brush and floss after meals and snacks.

Found a new dentist and his hygienist used a new thing to clean my teeth... it's a high pressure water device... painless. Afterwards she only had to pick off a couple of small pieces of tartar. The water device got nearly all of it off.

This dentist has all of the latest equipment...

I use these after meals, brushes for in between teeth...I have 4 different size brushes in total.

I think we should have less work done to our teeth, but spend more time brushing our teeth everyday. I believe that brushing teeth often is a good thing. The requirement for good brushing comes with good forces of habits and keep plague build up minimum.

I had a tooth pulled and I need an implant done. The dentist said I need my teeth deep cleaned. I said I brush after every meal and floss and do a rinse at night. He still said I needed a deep clean. go figure.

I don't understand you needing a deep clean either. I brush and floss after every meal and even snacks... I'm going to be 75 soon and never had a deep cleaning.

Do you like your dentist? Some dentists aren't trustworthy and try to make extra money.

My two dentists died. The guy who bought the practice...I think he was overcharging me. And he always wanted to put nine bondings on my teeth to start (receding gums).

I found a new dentist that I like. He told me that he wouldn't put any bondings on my teeth...that would make the problem worse he said.

I had a wisdom tooth removed and I said I wanted that tooth ! because my mum gives me 20 cents for them or is it the tooth fairy ?
Not haveing the Dentist collect the 20c for himself !
He mentioned it was like $2 nowadays !

But I got the tooth home and had a good examination of it, well well as for the build up of Plark ? their was a spot at the far back that would of been under the gums that had built up, so I had a big needle and worked to chiped it off the tooth. and the tooth was as clean and fine under the build up of plark.

So Plark does not eat the tooth at all !

So I thought what about tribal Africans and such before tooth brush came about ? such Africans have good teeth ! and never brush ever.

I know people who do not brush their teeth much from my school days and their teeth are fine still in their 60's ! they would come home from being out late at night of ther grog and hit the sack directly, but I would alwasy brush my teeth before.

I think it's sugar that is the main problem and having meat stuck between your teeth that is the real issue.

I know Truck drivers who use Speed destroy their teeth by grinding them when taking Speed they wear them out.

My Father inlaw at 95yo still has all of his teeth bar for one that was pulled out but nothing wrong with it .

A pastor friend from Nepal went to the dentist while studying here. I forgot why I took him to my dentist.

But the dentist said he had perfect teeth.

I think it's because he mainly ate vegetables and rice...and little meat since it's more expensive.

Deep clean ? I have had a clean more of a polish thing on the drill done, on the tooths gum line in the main I believe is what they did.

I went to a Dentist here once about 25 years ago and he spun out saying, boy the Dentist work I had done was real quality workmanship. better than himself could do ! and he said that their were shocking dentist about as well.

So it's like any Trade, you have the exceptional, the good, the average and the bad and the shocking !

When I was a school kid I had the shocking ! millitary Dentist idiots, they had to peddle to turn the drill back then, No ! I missed out on that, but they had pullys to pullys with a band linking them up to turn the drill.

They would say do you want the needle to kill the pain ! why bother ! when the idiot would start drilling directly anyway. Drill baby drill !

The only coating I have had is with a ear bud coated with a type of fluoride he said.

When they drill a tooth, I get them to show me what they have done, so I clearly know what they are doing, my wife said she does not want to see such at all.
