This story is really touching my heart. When we love our enemies and show them compassion, this is a great witness of our Christian faith. These muslims who are being helped in Pakistan by Christians are even willing to accept and read the bible.

One Muslim said, "You Christians are better than Muslims. You came all the way from Faisalabad to help us."

Pakistan (MNN) ― While floodwaters may be covering a large portion of Pakistan, the response of ministries reveals the truth in the hearts of Christ's followers.

Voice of the Martyrs, USA has redirected all of their in-country efforts to distribute Action Packs: vacuumed-sealed containers holding much-needed items such as food, clothes and Bibles to encourage and strengthen affected Christians.

However, they are not limiting their relief efforts to Christians. Muslims are more than willing to accept the packages, even when they discover they contain Bibles.

The actions of Christians after the rains hi--and as they continue to pummel the country--are shining through this record-breaking tragedy. One Muslim said, "You Christians are better than Muslims. You came all the way from Faisalabad to help us."

Many are not only willing to accept the Bibles, but they have told VOM teams they will read them.

As VOM rejoices over this positive turn of events, pray for the teams as they continue to distribute Action Packs. Also pray for even more victims to be open to the truth of Christ's message.

I agree with you. Jesus tells us to Love our enemies, and gave us a few examples in the Gospels of doing just that. When one starts to argue with another and they turn around and say "I love you" , where's the arguement? Fight evil with good the scriptures tell us. Believe me it works. Husbands and wives should never go to bed with arguing until it is settled. Parents and children also, friends too.

It is always the Christian Nations who go to aid the Heathen nations.

We have had major floods and disasters here but I do not recall huge convoys of Pakistanis coming to our rescue.

As Christian Nations , even with all our faults , we are still the light of the world.

Everyone needs to listen again to Canadian journalist Gordon Sinclair and his view on Americans.

This speech was published on June 5, 1973 but is still relevant today.

It will renew your patriotism and encourage your foundation in Christianity.

This is an interesting thread - I ve been reading the Koran to try to understand what Muslims believe, and i m not fully through it, but it really doesnt have the same compassionate tone to it that the New Testament has, that is for sure!

It seems paranoid a lot of time about non believers and having to fight them and that God will help Muslims to fight them and put them down. That comes up a lot!

Also, it refers to so many Old Testament individuals and events, that surely a Muslim would want to read and study the OT at least! ie not reject the bible....

This is great! The word of Christ should spread in those countries, it would make the situation better for sure!
There are so many examples of this and this is another one... Great post!
