@Wick Stick, your post has been moved here because the D&V section is not a discussion forum.
I was out back having a coffee talking with the lord when I saw a vision. The lord came up to me and said, “Come.” we were looking down at the world from above. Part of the world was burning, like a line of fire running across the planet; the other half was still green and untouched. The lord said, “ speak life, speak hope, speak salvation.” I asked the lord if he wanted me to write this down and he said, “write” then he said; “the door to salvation is closing and those who have not kept their lamps trimmed will be caught off guard because they believe they have time. Those who have been living like the world will be caught off guard. They profess to be my followers but their hearts are not with me." Matt 25:1-13. Vision Ended
What of those ordained for destruction? Do they have a part to play? Can they rely on that destruction, or are there further penalties to be paid?

@Wick Stick, I don't know. I only wrote what I saw in the vision and the revelation I got from that, which is found in Rev 22.

I am confused. Maybe someone can help me understand.

You said, "the door to salvation is closing and those who have not kept their lamps trimmed will be caught off guard because they believe they have time. Those who have been living like the world will be caught off guard. "

In Matthew 25, we see the parable of the ten virgins preparing for the wedding.

In the story, ALL of the virgins trimmed their wicks, however five of the virgins were considered foolish- not because their wicks weren't trimmed. All of them had trimmed their wicks.

It was because they lacked the OIL.

I think there are two phases. A lamp full of oil isn't worth much without a trimmed wick. Trimming the wick is similar to the circumcision of the heart in which the fleshly nature is cut away. Once that is done then the lamp can be filled with oil.

Right. So this is my oil lamp. Ignore my messy table, I haven't cleaned it yet.

You *CAN* burn the used wick with oil. But the purpose of trimming the wick is for a brighter, cleaner flame. It's pointless without the oil.

@BlueNightingale. They wanted to get the oil from the other virgins but they said, "no" because that would mean they would run out or not have enough for themselves. They were made like clay pots. (just as we are clay pots). I think the likelihood was that without trimming their lamps, they would not have enough light to see where they were going or their lamps would go out because they were not trimmed. Trimming the lamps was a matter of cutting off the old burnt wick so that the new wick will burn brightly. In the case of the virgins, it related to the oil itself. There is a practical and spiritual element to both of these symbols. Referring to this vision, later on, the lord gave me Revelation 22, so he is definitely talking about being prepared spiritually (trimming your lamp) and being filled with the Holy Spirit. (oil)

I have been considering the vision that was originally given, and I questioned whether or not the assumptions made concerning what people considered was the focus of this vision was right.

Matthew 25 consists of three parables which will unfold during the last age, which I believe will start around the year 2045 AD.

The first parable of the ten virgins waiting for the Bridegroom to come for His Bride happens fairly early in the seventh age.

The second parable spans the whole of the seventh age where we are told that Satan will empower his good and faithful servants with talents, i.e. large sums of money to do his bidding with this cash to impede the establishment of God's Everlasting Kingdom upon the earth. Those with eyes to see and ears to hear will perceive that Satan is presently preparing for his going away for a time into the Bottomless pit for the prescribed 1,000 years along with the Beasts of Daniel 7 and 8, i.e. other fallen angels who also rebelled with Satan against God by Satan enabling his servants to become very rich before he goes away. When Satan returns his good and faithful servants, who have multiplied Satan's talents, i.e. money, will be told to joy him, Satan in his joy.

In Luke 19 the same parable is told to the crowd who were accompanying Jesus as they walked up to Jerusalem during the late Friday afternoon and is known as the parable of the Minas and in this parable, we are told, that some of his servants no longer what Satan to be their king/master over them.

The third parable speaks to the final judgement where those who call Jesus "Lord, Lord" are separated into two group, just like in the parable of the Ten Virgins, has two groups of virgins. Those who trimmed their lamps wick and those who did not trim their wicks and had not have enough oil to keep their lamps lit while they waited for the Bridegroom. While the virgins who did not have enough oil to last until the Bridegroom came, and had gone away to acquire additional oil to see them through until the Bridegroom came but while they were away from the entrance of the banqueting hall, the Bridegroom came and the virgins who were still outside the hall were invited into the hall to see the groom gather His Bride to Himself.

The lesson of the Ten Virgins parable is that we have to be fully prepared to last for all of the timespan while waiting for the Bridegroom to come. Yes, trimming the wick of our lamps is important so that we do not waste the precious oil that we have acquired to wait for the Bridegroom.

The role of the Virgins is to keep their lamps lit to be a witness of what is to come. To be the light on the hilltop to draw people to Christ.

With the passing of time, in our eyes, we need to be focused upon our role of also being a light to all of the nations and while doing this we need to be fully prepared for when Christ comes for His bride.

The third parable tells us what is required to be a well-trimmed lamp in God's work for the Kingdom. As we give, the promise is, that we will be replenished with more oil so that we shine brighter for all to see.

Shalom

PS: - We can look to be super spiritual, but we also have to be doing God's work of "believing in Him who He has sent" and that "He is the Son of God."
