The language we already know well is easy! When I was in Germany one of the professor's there insisted that German was the easiest. Having studied both German and Spanish, I disagreed with him. Even though it is my native and first language, I consider English the most difficult one because of its lack a simple spelling and grammar rules. The exceptions to the exceptions to the exceptions cause people a lot of trouble.
