You ask a "Christian" what are the verses that teach the saving Gospel for NOW and they babble some nonsense because they just don't know.
READ YOUR BIBLE, it's there in black & white
Gal 1:11-12 Christ taught it to Paul
1 Cor 15:1-4 is it

I have tried that but I've found that soon they are blaspheming the Gospel so I back off.
I often find it difficult balancing being prepared to give an answer for what we believe and not casting pearls before swine.
Any advice?
